NOW FULL !!!!

Hi,

I am starting a new team for all newbies who want to chat, have a go at new things and also to collect points.

I will be the team leader and will be online as much as possible to answer as many questions as I can and to help as much as possible.

This will be a 'no pressure' team and you will all be able to do as much or as little as possible. In fact, you don't even have to do anything if you don't want.

I have some great ideas about the fun things we can do and I will post them here soon.

If you want to join please leave a message below this one and i'll add you to the list :D

The team will consist of 10 members and as soon as we're up and running we will be allocated out own team thread :D

Have you been scrapping long?

Hmmmm not really, I made a few pages in the autumn, but looking back at them they're not that brilliant. They're pages that I made when really the only stash we had was some card stock and paper, a toolkit and some eyelets, and pretty much the rest of the bits used to 'tart' up the pages were made on my computer.( maybe I'll upload one or two with a disclaimer :P) Since then we have collected loads of stash and not had space to get organised to make anything, but this weekend thats all changed and I managed to sit down and make a page. Onwards and upwards innit :P

Hi my name is Mandy and I'd love to be in your team - do you have any places left?

I've been scrapbooking since Jan 05 and have become completely addicted - I've completed layouts on holidays, celebrations and old family photos , just finishing an album for my Mum 's 70th birthday next week - from when she was little to me and my sister growing up and now my nephews.

I've only just joined UKScrappers and I'd love to be part of a team to share ideas and just chat about this wonderful hobby!

Before I go I want to leave a few suggestions 'in the air' so to speak.

I would like to suggest that we do a birthday swap just between ourselves. I will need addresses and birth dates please ladies. We could send cards to each member when their birthday arrives or maybe something different?

All suggestions are gratefully recieved :D

I am also looking for feedback into another idea. I would like us to possibly do a kind of 'get to know you' journal. Possible ideas could include using/making a small journal or maybe a sizzix type mini book. We could add something about ourselves in it and pass to the next person, and so on until we all have our own team mini books. If there's enough interest we shall go ahead. If no-one's interested then that's fine also.

I am here to listen to all suggestions too.

We will need to come up with a name for the team.

Suggestions will all be taken into consideration and a vote will be held :D

Whatever we come up with will need to be checked to make sure there's not already a team with that name :D

I was just thinking and wondering, when we decide on a name are we going to have a logo thingy, and if so where are you going to fit it in on your signature innit :P

I am going to have a think about ideas for names, although, once again I am easy and probably won't mind what we are called.

Hi, Just come back to have a look and see how the team is coming along. I have just managed to watch another 2 hours of QVC without buying anything, although I was tempted!

I like your suggestions so far Anna. It is my 50th birthday next month so it would be lovely to get some handmade cards. I have never had any handmade ones except from my daughter, and I have been making cards for about 5 years now!

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Hello Everyone!

Well I'm back from taking my friend to the airport - exciting but sad too, I managed to save my tears until he had gone through the departure gate. So back home to do some craft things to cheer myself up and then back to work tomorrow. I'm off to see him in New York in about three weeks, so there should be some good photo opportunities and layouts from that trip!

I love the idea of us sending handmade birthday cards to each other, and also a 'getting to know you' type book. As for names - why is that so hard... will have think and let you know of any ideas I come up with.

It's straight forward, you just put in there what you like and dislike. You can read other peoples if you stuck for ideas.

It is quiet tonight, everyone must be out or busy, or in bed. I've been to a cardmaking workshop this afternoon, at the craft shop in town so that was good, got to make a few cards and get some new ideas. :)

How long have you been making cards? I have been doing it for about 5 years now, and scrapbooking for about 18 months.

I have made them on and off for a long time, sort of just making the odd one now and again, but its really only a few months that I have seriously started to try and make the cards I send. So not as long as you have. But I have got the bug now so will be probably doing it for many years to come.
I've done arty crafty things for as long as I can remember but it tended to be more modelling type things and painting, the more messy things.
