I bought some lovelt metal embellies the other day and some stickers ... I have so far managed to cover the front and back of the paper bag book!!!! .... just the insides to go :lol: .... I hve decided to do one of the pocket tags as a puppy theme ... as then if someone didn't have the dog as a puppy then they could remove it easier and wouldn't ruin the book ....... I only thought of that as I have some lovely stickers and they always have a bit about a puppy ... but I didn't get Kane until he was 10 months old ..... so I can never use them for his piccies :rolleyes:

The only pics I have of the boxer as a puppy are with my ex - so some serious cropping will have to be done!!!

The spaniel is a rescue dog and we didn't get her until she was 2.

Thats why I thought if I did is at as a pocket bit then the LO can be detached or remoddelled if somone doesn't have puppy pics!

i have used a mixture of doggy papers and papers that were doggy colours.
ive used stickers, die cuts and embellies and it looks quiet good lol

oh bother, tracy, missed you at luton... we should of had some king of secret sign so that we could find on another LOL!!... one of your friends bumped into me and said you had asked her to look out for me, but when she took me to meet you, you weren't around!! I looked for her again later, a few times, but didn't see her, but as I was doing classes virtually non stop till I left, it probably wasn't surprising LOL!!

Nicci ... the doggie bits were very reasonably priced and the postage was fine .... they did lengths on Ribbon already with sticky on the back ..... 2 lots each of 3 sorts and the small box was only $2.50 ..... sometimes its just nice to get some different bits!!

It was me that had the stash problems not sambelina. Have now finished my book and will send it on to you tomorrow all being well.

As I said a couple of messages back, i'm really sorry for not having it done on time but Royal Mail messed up and I never received my goodies from the doggy swap so have had to order stuff :(

Thought I'd just pass on some sad news, as I had introduced our new boy to many of you in Alisons K9 thread... and let you know why I dipped out of finishing my paper bag book - sorry about that, but I know you'll all understand...

Been missing from the boards for the last few weeks, as we had some sad news about our new greyhound when we returned from holiday the week before last (Jak - the 10 year old rescue dog, who was a couple of years older than we thought when we adopted him!)...

The day before we went away, he had been at the vets for an x-ray on his leg (he had been limping for a few weeks - about 2 weeks after we got him) and they suspected a bone tumour, but couldn't confirm it. They suggested some drugs and complete rest, and then further x-rays when we returned and then a biopsy if still uncertain...

We picked him up from my mums at 9 o'clock in the morning the day we returned, and he was already limping very badly.. but by the afternoon he was worse and a lump had come up on his shoulder where the tumour was supposed to be...

We hoped to give him the weekend to see if it improved, but by the evening he seemed to be in a lot of pain, he couldn't even lay still without whimpering.. so we took him to the vet and one look at her face and we knew we had to let him go...

I know we have only had him for a few weeks (would have been 6 weeks) but he really touched us, he was such a laidback sweetie, very calm but also very loving and it was worth knowing him just for those few weeks... but it has been a very tough week or so, lots of sad moments and a quite a few tears... and I just thought I'd let those who had sent me kind wishes when we got him, know what had happened....

They certainly do, Alison... only good thing was that Juke and him hadn't had a chance to bond really (with Juke being such a wus...) They had just got to the sniffing each other when the other one wasn't looking stage... but we were sure they were going to be really good friends, so a real shame all round...

just gotta decide what we do now... whether to get another or not...

Sorry only just posting but I have been away cybercropping all weekend and didn't get back until late yesterday!

WOW what a great PBB I have got ....... I was so gob smacked its gorgeous! mine is brown sort with a checked spine (so love the way that was done!) and I have an extra "s" for multi dogs!

Ok need to ask a few questions about where you do your shopping. The dog coaster has hinges which are better than the ones I have, the little rubbery dog house charm,the the tag 'my dog' on the front and the brown & blue checked paper's Do you mind spilling the beans?

I'm going to use it to celebrate Lucy's 4th birthday I just need to find the best photo's LOL

Right shopping list:

The hinges are making memories .... can't 100% remember where I bought them from ..... but I can look this up if you need me to.

The rubber items are from "around the block" and I got these from Artbase ... they come in a pack of 6.

The metal "my dog" come from Americantraditional designs- Lil'charms they come in a pack of 6 (dogs life silver) ... and they were from a local craft shop ... but if you want I will go and see if they have anymore for you.

The blue & brown checked paper is from a TLC dog kit ... I am sure if you speak nicely to Alison-Lee she may be able to help you on that one!

I am so please u like it ....... make sure u let me see the finished result with all the piccies :)

cinea who took part in the k9 paper bag swap made this fridge magnet (well altered it i beleave she started with a blank fridge magnet and went from there i think it would be a exciting project to try either a frame magnet or a picture frame what do you all think ?
