Using the following colours:
Red = 5 points
Black = 5 Points

I struggled which is why I only ended up with a translation of I Love You in Chinese. As a team we felt it was too good an opportunity to miss especially with Chinese New Year just gone by. It is only 5 points though so can easily be missed.

Great idea!
I love the idea of an oriental element and would love to focus on that more than the other elements but I don't have any photos that I could use, other than a mad hen night in a chinese restaurant :P
Will give it a go though, even if I have to carry my camera round everywhere for inspiration

I bet there will be something oriental in the background of one shot. It would even incorporate love if it is a hen night.

Ooooh, fab - that's me sorted then!! When I first looked at this I thought "Well, that doesn't fit my Disney scrapping at all" - but then Darm suggested I could do I love Disney World (yes, I know it shouldn't have been that big a leap - but could I see it for myself?? I could not!!) - and if I can do a dog - in goes Pluto/Goofy - sorted!! Now I just have to hope my Disney papers arrive in time for the deadline!! Whey Hey - Great Challenge Busy Bees!!
I think it is great thinking Nina. I wish I had thought the same but then I was born in the year of the pig (I think) so maybe not.
Edited to add
Definitely year of the boar. This is an interesting site if anybody feels like going down the same route as Nina

I think hen nights are a great way of scrapping love because you are presumably having one to celebrate the fact that you are getting married to someone you love.

oriental papers from atc collection used for little flowers - wary of using oriental symbols without knowing their definite meaning after unwittingly upseting a chinese friend at uni by wearing offensive earrings :lol:

Your LO is lovely Nikki but I want to know what your earrings actually said????
this wasnt in the 80's by any chance. I remember that japanese/chinese writing was really "in". I had a shirt that was covered in chinese characters - hate to think what it said :lol:

Thanks for the challenge, I don't get to do these very often.
I used Love Lines by Junkitz, and a white gelly roll pen!
I managed the "love" theme, "red" and "black", (but no gold or oriental, they didn't quite match my theme,) so that's an extra 20 points for me.
I'm having problems, attaching my LO to this post, but you can find it on my blog (http://jensworld.typepad.com/jens_world/), I can't seem to make the image small enough!! :angry:

Thanks for the challenge - this seems to have been a really popular one.
I've uploaded to the gallery here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=63820&cat=500&ppuser=10009) and here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=63819&cat=500&ppuser=10009)
I've done a DLO - the photos have been sitting around for ages waiting to come to the top of the scrapping heap!
I've done the LO for DD1's scrapbook.
She loves Johnny Thunder - from a play called "Escape from Dragon Tower" at Legoland. Every weekend we had to go and watch it at least once. She talks about it all the time and she can't wait for Legoland to reopen after Winter .......we can only hope that JT is still there !!! Think that I'm going to scrap this onto canvas for her room!
Thanks again
