I'm not used to 'blowing my own trumpet' but I have my first article in SC&P on slide mailers and would like to know what people think of it if they get to take a peek, criticism is the best way to improve (although all things said I havent stopped grinning!)

Hi all.

Thanks for the lovely comments!
As you can imagine, I have been very excited about having my
article published in SCAP this week. It's a lovely feeling, and a great
confidence booster that I hope lots of you will have the opportunity to
experience! With all of this, I may have forgotten to mention that I am
grateful to Jo Capper Sandon (Papillon Jo) for giving me the inspiration for
one of my mailers. Thanks Jo, for this, and for all your help in the past. I
hope to see more of your work published soon too.

As it was my first article I was very nervous of what people would think so any criticisms/comments would be welcomed, good or bad

Thanks

Well said Kelly - I think it's very good of you to do this - there are few occasions when anyone bothers to thank or credit a source of inspiration, and it's refreshing to see.

Congratulations on getting published, you must have been delighted! It's always a bit of a thrill to see yourself in print!

OK Kel.

I was suprised when I saw it in the magazine. I didnt HELP Kel create her mailers, but Kel was inspired to make her 'On the Porch' (Paperbag Studios) slidemailer having seen my design using that stamp a few months earlier.

My apologies for the wording - Jo may not have helped me with the mailers but she did help me to have the confidence to do the article in the firstplace. Thankyou
