AnniB: as far as I'm aware the date specified is the "last" date for posting. If you're done before then it's ok to post - or at least that's what we did for the other CJ I've done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. :lol:

Ok i will edit the posting dates and get them changed to 3wks apart.
No idea on th elogo although i think that from the 1st march they are stopping people having signatures over 50 characters long, which means that you will probably one ever have your glittery name or one blinky. Off to read the post about it and will get back to you all.

ok here is the post from maryanne about signatures, it looks as if from march 1st we will only be allowed two each. if i have read it correctly.

All this has been in preparation for the upgrade to vB 3.5. Our target date for this is 1 March. It will require us to take UKS down for a day (just to amend - UKS is now too big to do a complete back up and to have a working back up board, according to Smax. Not sure if limiting sigs will affect this so we CAN have a working back up board in the future - I'll announce if so)

The biggest change in the new vB will be signature control. We have discussed this MANY times but guidelines for signatures (both number and size) are not being adhered to. So, along with the new version there will be a few other changes:

1. Signature images will be limited to 2 per person.
2. The max size will be 200 x 500 pixels, and 5 lines. Total
3. The max character limit will be 500 (this 500 character limit INCLUDES the code for your images)

We will be hosting our own Countdowns (like tickers - You can see samples of them here) and will announce how you can add them once the change has been made.

In anticipation of this change, you will want to copy your signature information on to your own PC/Mac. Once the new version comes up ALL SIGNATURE INFO WILL BE DELETED. If you have not saved it, you will lose it. You can then add the info (within the new limits) back after 1 March.

UKS Sponsors and UKS design team members will each be allowed one additional image for their signature. Sponsor DT members may opt to add the DT logo as one of their two images.

Sponsors may add their linked logo (150x75 pixels) instead of a text line.

The countdowns are seperate from the signature images. You will be able to have one countdown in addition to the sig images.

We have had many requests for event tickers or graphics. Part of the excitement of attending any event is the build up to it and identifying others attending the event. It is a great way to help with plans to meet up. We will offer sponsors of events two options. You may offer your attendees either:

1. a standard 150x75 unlinked graphic saying something like "I'm going to..." and the date. Attendees can then opt to replace one of their two signature images with an event image.

2. a countdown graphic that you design, to the specifications (295 x 50 pixels with a plainish background and the decorative element on the right, and in JPG format. No animations!) Attendees can have the countdown in addition to the standard two images. There will be a charge to sponsors, which will be based on how long before the event they wish to offer the graphics. PM MaryAnne when you need info on this.

We are aware that the signature line is too short to allow listing of swap and CJ info -- yo will be able to add this to your PROFILE instead, by clicking on User CP and then Edit Profile. You can add the info to the OTHER INFORMATION field at the bottom of the page.

I have just finished my first ever CJ - so proud of myself!!

Just had a thought though - afraid my book is maybe too small - the layouts that everyone will do in it is 4.5 x 4.5 - is that ok??

Hi all.I managed to get my CJ covered at the crop i went to yesterday.
I have just got to do a little stamping on the cover,then start my sign in page and an intro!

The crop i went to was 10hrs long....and was great!
Managed to start a mini accordian album/card for my MIL for her mothers day present too!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments! I came home from work feeling a bit fed up and feel much better now!!

My book is a sara book but It's probably the last one I will buy as it would have been just as easy to use a couple of bits of mountboard and lightweight card cut to size for the inner papers.

I've finished my cj cover, the sign in, the intro AND one side of my DLO!!! Phew. :lol:
I've been slaving away on this most of the last 2 nights.
Mind you i only scrap when DS goes to bed at 7.30pm. :lol:
Then i'm scrappin' away happily till ...
A) i get fed up or lose the inspiration <_< or
B) i can't keep my eyes open any longer, :blink: or
C) DH comes in and glares at me cos i'm embossing something and it's midnight or later!! :angry: :lol:

All in all i think i'm doing pretty well!

Oooh no, don't misunderstand me...the journal finished it's first cycle properly! It was the CJ I started for the Jedis at the last cybercrop, and for a variety of reasons we ended up as only 5. It wasn't due back to me until the middle of March, but seeing as it came home early, I thought I might like to fill it up a bit more, is all!

Helen - go to www.royalmail.com and find the phone nubmer and complain - my PO are encouraging people to do just that - if you can't find the number I may still have it somewhere. My postie put a card thro the door saying sorry you were out etc and I had to go to the sorting office 2 days later to collect it but the best of it was my DH was the other side of the front door putting his shoes on when the card came thro and the postie had put the calling time as 9.30am and he was in fact there at 8.30am putting the card thro. The collection office said a lot of posties espec on a sat don't even take the parcels out with them and then encouraged me to phone and complain. I hadn't complained to them just asked why is had happened as it did

Jings but you lot can blether - it's taken me ages to catch up! :lol: Karen's beautiful CJ arrived safely on Saturday but the postie didn't ask for a sig either! Have complained. By the way Karen, my daughter and I don't believe this is your 1st CJ, it's gorgeous! Am posting mine to Janice 1st class recorded today. Will still only be in sporadically as am still off work with my hands.

thanks emma i am glad you like them they are called beadlings and you can make anything once you know the technique there is a website on uks that has patterns on beadicritters.com some really great things including disney anything you like i am sure you will find on there have fun:)

Did you cover a normal 6 x 6 album in fabric or make your own from scratch?

It's a K&Co 6x6 that I covered in fabric. It was a bit too thick where the flap folds over to cover the screws so I had to chop one layer off where it is normally a double fold (if that makes any sense at all!!)

I take it you were at disneyland Paris,Paula? My Eldest has just got back on tuesday after taking SIL & 2 DD there.They've been going every year for the last 5 years.Kids love it,although eldest niece is now 13 and claims she is too old to go (unless it's disneyland florida!! :D)

Yeah Paris one. It was raining the first few days and then the sun shone but just was too cold to benefit from it.
