Swappers...
Just a quick (and friendly) reminder to you all to remember to read the swap rules (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=57234) at the top of the swap forum before signing up for or requesting to host a swap.
This reminder is in light of a number of PMs I have received recently. So I would particularly like to draw your attention to the following few points from the rules:-
You must have a positive swap rating (i.e. taken part, completed and received a positive rating for a swap hosted by another UKScrapper) BEFORE you can host a swap yourself.
It is not so nice for me when I have to refuse someone the hosting of a swap because they have never participated in a swap themselves and/or don't have a postive swap rating. Therefore, please ensure that you have the required swap rating before submitting your request.
UKS members will be limited to participation in no more than 3 Swaps at any given time.
There have a been a few incidents recently of people oversubscibing themselves and then dropping out of swaps. This is both upsetting and annoying for both the organiser and other participants and those reasons alone are why the rule of 3 swaps per person was put in place.
There is no finger pointing here but please govern yourself accordingly and adhere to the rules. This makes it fair on everyone and also means if anything untowards happens you haven't overcommited yourself.
A swapped is deemed "complete" when all particpants have received their items and have been given a relevant trader rating.
It is then the responsibility of the host to submit a Trader Rating for all particpants. A positive rating should be given to all successful swappers and a negative rating given to anyone who failed to complete the swap.
It is as the descretion of the host to submit a neutral rating if the particpant had to pull out of the swap for reason given to the host before the completion deadline.
ALL ratings MUST include a link to the swap thread. The host must also nominate ONE participant to provide a rating for the host. Any duplicate ratings for the same swap WILL be deleted.
Please ensure that you submit VALID and correct trader ratings for participants of a swap you are hosting, including the link (URL) to the swap thread and also ensure that you only receive ONE rating for each swap (either as a participant or a host). All duplicate ratings will be deleted.
Re-iterating these rules will hopefully lessen the amount of swap requests that I have refuse/reply to/modify that haven't adhered to the guidelines. Plus it means a less busy PM box for me and... hopefully a quicker listing of swaps too!
Thanks for understanding.
