I seem to always being making something to do with love, be it for Mum's wedding, LO's of me and OH or Paper bag book of my family, but I dont always have enough embellishments to complete a project. So thats where this swap comes in.

In groups of 10, each person to collect embellishments with a romance theme to the value of £5. Each member to chose one of the below options (please let me know which one you want to do or if there is something else you want to do instead)

Label them with your UKScrappers name and your group number, and then send them to me. I'll sort them out and post back to each member of each group. Please enclude a SAE and postage to cover your goodies to be sent back to you

Just one point, Anita and Ellsese, if it ends up only being one group then we might have a bit of a problem with you both wanting to do ribbon. I dont have a problem in particular cos i love ribbon. For the moment i will leave you both as doing it and see what happens tomorrow. If we end up having more than one group then all is fine. Just to let every one who has signed up know, i will be at my mums for the weekend starting friday evening until monday evening. My mum does have computer but i'm not sure how often i will be able to use it as i am babysitting my 6 yr old bro and their 6 dogs. Hello all. Had a fab weekend. Last night ruined it though. Set off at about 9pm. Making good progress etc and then traffic jam. I dont mean a little traffic jam, it was MASSIVE!!!!! It was the M56 and the motorway was closed both ways. All drivers etc were stood outside cos we was there 2 hrs! Police finally arranged for us to turn round and go the wrong way up the motorway! HAd to go trough Runcorn to get home, luckly chris's dad was still up as we didnt have a map :angry: . Then to top it off, i was bursting for little girls room (was going to stop at next services before we hit traffic, crossing legs for over 2hrs by now) So stopped at next services to find it SHUT!!!!!! A police woman was sat there and she said that there was toilets round the back that was open. Was about to toddle off when she called us back. She said that chris couldnt go cos that was why she was there. Apparently 2 men were up to something not nice in toilets and she didnt want chris to walk in on them!!!! She was waiting for some more policemen. So i had to wait another 30 mins for loo. Finally got in at 3am. Should hve taken about 3hrs to get home instead took almost 5 and a half! lol.

Anyway, back onto the real subject. lol.
I have had packages from Lianne and Karina. I have 3 more in the post office to be collected tomorrow, but they could be either fot this swap or the ric rak one.

Thank you to all those that have posted recently. My postman hasn't arrived yet today. so either nothing for me yet or normal postied is off sick so another one is having to do his normal round and then ours. Can everyone please please make sure they send their items to me in a strong envelope, maybe padded. I have had 2 now that have been damaged at some point in posting. The first one was fine, but the second one wasnt. It was delivered to me empty! I'm not saying that it is anyones fault etc, just want to make you all aware of what has happened. Especially if your items are bulky. Also some of the items that are going to be sent back to you are bulky, therefore a unpadded paper envelope probably wont be ok. Dont worry if you have already sent to me. If i feel your envelope aint strong enough then i will swap it.

I also agree with the 64p worth of stamps. In cases like the ric rac swap, you will know if you have put in enought stamps from what yours cost to post the the host. But in swaps like this one, your goodies posted to me might weigh a lot less than what i am going to send to you as you dont know who much other peoples goodies are going to weigh.

bit late to add this now I know I know but for any new-ish swappers its often good enough if you have a good padded envelope to send your stuff to the host and then just enclose a label of some kind to stick over your addy for the host to post it back, that way you don't need 2 padded envies. (sorry if thats obvious!! But I remember it being pointed out to me and just thinking ....,. doh!!! lol)

Yours came today Anita. The envelope you posted to me in has only just servived. All embellishments need to be sent in a padded envelope as they are bumpy and can peirce paper envelopes. I will return to you in a padded one as i dont want any holes to appear in it. Thank you for the flowers. I love flowers. x

Dont worry about it at all. I have some padded envelopes left from the ric rac swap. I'll just re-use an old one. lol. Its not a problem, i just dont want to run the risk of the envelope splitting. The main reason is that this swap has some bulky items that might poke through normal paper envies.

I loved the stiched heart too. Its so nice and was handmade by Nina and was sent from Canada.

Everyone sent lovely items, Chris has got is eye on some of the stuff for our anniversary, not sure what he's planning, but think i'm going to have to hide some of it. lol He did that for the valentines card he made me, he used the one item i was keeping from a previous swap (basically i liked it so much that i wasnt going to use it, just stroke it and he used it!!!!) lol

Well done everyone for fab items and making my 2nd swap so enjoyable. So enjoyable that i'm hosting another! I'll be competition for Nellis10 (Natalie) and chrismicbritt (Louise) for swap hosting. :D
