WHAT: You send me a minimum of 5-10 photos by post to me enclosing either a cd with the photos or the actual photos and I will swap them out to another participant to swap. Likewise, you will receive someone else’s photos to scrap. Therefore, all participants will be completing a DOUBLE PAGE LAYOUT for their swappee and receive a double page layout in return.

HOW TO SIGN UP: PM me with your UKS name, your full name, mailing address, phone number and email address. Also, let me know via PM if you would mind mailing 12 x 12 layouts OUTSIDE the UK or not, so that I can pair partners accordingly. I will reply to your email address so you will have MY email address as well.

WHO CAN JOIN: If you have at least 100 posts you are welcome to join us.

FAQ’s (that I can think of right now):

Q) How many photos should I send:
A) A minimum of 5-10 photos. You are welcome to send more.

Q) When should I send my photos to liberty?
A) deadline is 14 February

Q) What information do I include with my photo set?
A)

* Give context/background description of the photos

* Provide Journalling to include OR indicate that you want blank spaces for journalling to be included later

*identify the people in the photos

* give permission or not to allow the designer to use all/some of the photos as well as whether or not she can alter your photos in any way.

* Include your name and address

* Let you swapee know if you can not upload the final LO so they can scan or photograph it for you.

* Include a self addressed envelope and loose stamps sufficient to cover posting of photos to you

**Please be sure to indicate if you mind being partnered with anyone outside the UK due to additional postage expense concerns so that I can pair partners accordingly.

Q) When should I expect to receive my assigned photo set to scrap?
A) no later than 24 February. At this time, you will receive the recipient’s full name, address and UKS name as well as her photo set and background information.

Q) When I receive my swappee’s photos, do I have to use ALL the photos or may I pick and choose which I want to use?
A) The owner of the pictures should stipulate if they want all the photos to be incorporated or if the designer can pick and choose.

Q) Can I crop/change the photos I receive to work on?
A) The owner of the pictures should stipulate if changes in color, zoom, etc can be made to the pictures.

Q) When can I reveal my identity?
A) Ideally, you should reveal yourself in the package you send or your swappee can guess throughout the swap time period. Feel free to use the GuessWho ID set up. (If you Login using the Anon ID, then go to USER CP at the top of the page, you will see Trading Pages. Click on there and you can join in.) Please refer to the Trading Pages Thread by Sam for more info on this.

Q) When can/should I mail out my completed double page layout?
A) You can mail it out as soon as you complete it if you like but no earlier than 7 March. But ideally, lets try to wait to all mail so that your swapee receives their LO on or before 14 March so that everyone receives their completed pages at approximately the same time period. Per Sam’s rules, you must keep a record of when you mailed from the post office. Please post in this thread the date you have mailed so that the hostess can track everyone’s progress/status.

Q) What date should I mail if I live outside the UK?
A) It is your responsibility to research delivery times from your home to point of destination so that the package arrives on or before 14 March.

Q) When can I upload/share my completed double page layout in the gallery?
A) You can upload your creations AFTER the recipient has received your package.

Q) How to do I package/mail my completed double page layout to the recipient?
A) Make sure you safeguard your layouts inside a plastic bag. Anything will do so that weather elements during transit will not damage your hard work. Include a note revealing your identity, if you haven’t already done so. Pizza boxes or large padded envelopes are usually ideal for mailing 12 x 12 layouts.

It's amazing what you can do in two hours whilst your child is at a party!! I'm almost done too, just a few finishing touches to add. I find it much easier to do someone else's photos.

Please don't post your layouts back to your partner until everyone is ready or two days before the deadline, which ever is earlier.

Sounds intriguing Jilly, Susan claims not to know what the photos were, or she is not telling me. I don't think the ones I sent were too bad. I usually send photos that I have been humming and haing (not too sure about this word) over, so if I am not completely wowed by the layout at least they are done. I don't remember ever receiving a bad layout though.

Who is up for another trading pages, ha ha, I love them.

Don't worry Jilly, I have always found it is easier to do someone elses photos than my own, you have no inhibitions about leaving photos out that just don't work. You will see when you get them back, I am sure they will be great.

Jilly - there is a sub forum under the swaps forum (can't remember how to do a link and too tired to try!) called "Trading pages" - you can log in as "Guess who" (see Liberty's instructions on post #2 of this thread) and leave clues/hints for whoever you are doing a page for.

Heather - you need to log out.

Then you need to log in again! But usisng the user name GuessWho and the password UKScrapper. It is case sensitive!

Enjoy Peru, I went almost two years ago and I just finished my album during our summer 2005 holiday in france. Shout if you need any help. I would suggest researching the anti-altitude sickness tablets as they are diuretics and you can be a long way from toilets much of the day.

Jilly you could always upload into your gallery if that is easier, I have to apologise I went with the retro flowers, to imitate the 70s curtains in the caravan, and only half way through realised the layout was for your son not your daughter, at least they were masculine colours.

My pizza box arrived today but I was too busy to open it while I was at work so brought it home to enjoy the moment - and WOW! Thank you Heather - it's fantastic! Sue - I am so glad that you received the LO safely and that you liked it! I finished it off at the crop I went to on Saturday and everyone there seemed to like it! The title isn't Craft Robo (I wish!) - it is a Sissix one cut at the crop. And I was pleased to have the opportunity to use that olive paper - it was in the very fisrst lot of stash I bought about 2 years ago and I didn't think I would ever use it!

I am having difficulty loading into the gallery tonight (I am a bit of a technophobe and DH is away skiing so not here to help me :( ) so the links are here:
