Our theme is St. Valentines Love - thought it would be great to do a paper bag album for photographs/journalling of hubbies/partners. Something that we can just add photographs to once we have swapped. You will embellish and decorate it ready to just put photos in. Brown paper bags or coloured paper bags as long as we are working on about the same size and three bags.

Once you have finished please send to me with an address label and three first class stamps.

I have eyletted the side of my book and have it ready to stitch - hopefully my papers will arrive today

I put papers in the bags - I think most people do - have started mine but not finished. :)

I tend to decorate the book pages proper & the pages for inside the bags get a ribbon attatched or similar. Does that make any sense at all!!!

I've started mine (ish!) but am waiting for some papers to arrive. They should be here today so will try and get down to it tonight. I've already sorted some embellies out and attached bags together so just decorating to do now. I love these paper bag books!

Lucy thats the papers I have - haven't done anything with them yet. My book has 4 double pages and 4 pockets, plus the front and back pages.

Mine has front and back, two double layouts, 3 pockets each with a double layout in as well. Total of 12 layouts. Hope everyone is getting on ok - I am not letting on at the moment but one member has requested my addy to send her book - A* for you :D

It has the boxed paper bags and obviously the open paper bag ends for extras to be inserted.

Hope its ok I am worried now that it wont be any good and am contemplating doing it again.

I got my pages started last night. Front cover is half done and first page complete. Hopefully I'll get a good chunk of it done tonight. Think I need to cut all my pieces then put the pages together - I love handstitching but doing a page at a time is taking ages.

I have been asked to make a paperbag book for a mothers day gift. How much do you think I should charge??
Elaine you've seen mine so know the make up as such, but for those of you who haven't what price range would you expect to pay/charge for such an item.

Hi - I have bought a couple in the past and have paid about £10.00 to £15.00 depending on the amount of embellishments used, quality of paper, how many paper bags and the technicques used. I hope that helps you out. Try costing one out with what you use and how many hours it takes to make. :)

Sonia - have you tried looking on ebay, quite often there are some on there. I wouldn't do it for any less than £10.

OK so I'm not sure mine are worth THAT MUCH... sorry to whoever is recieving it :lol: . Really it's not bad but until I see another I won't know how mine compares IYKWIM.
I did get one from another member as a RAK :wub: but it was stitched & she sold hers in the region of £15.

Can't wait to get one in return now to compare & contrast. I was thinking of asking £5. I know it takes easily £5 worth of my time but I can't see people really paying soooo much.

I think you have to think about it as your creative time as well as what you have done - all the books I have received are beautiful and everybody's is different. Nobody likes to put a price on their work but I used to sell my cards and know what I used to do to make them - you just have to be brave and put the right price on and not mark it down. :)

I got your PBB Lorna, thank you. All the stitching is lovely and so neat.
The one I made was using BG fusion papers and lots and lots of ribbons (you can guess what the biggest collection in my stash is then....?)

I received my bag book when I got back from my holidays yesterday. It is lovely, not sure who made it. The book is tied together with a lovely gold ribbon & has a flower on the front.
