I've been searching for a death of Matthew Lee he was alive in the 1851 census but deceased by the 1861 all the certificates for this family marriage births deaths have been from the Hexham office I've tried all the deaths in the 10 years from Hexham none of them are right (first quarter of 51 to second quarte of 61)If he died in a work accident would the death have been registered in the area he died I don't know if he died that way but I'm starting to think of anything to try and find it normally they lived close to where they worked
