Does anyone know where to get this from? (pref mail order/national). My normal supplier is out of stock and I need some before she can get it back in stock. TIA:)

Do you have a local art shop? I used some Daler Rowney and it was just as good.

Thanks Jane, I've got the Daler Rowley slow drying gel medium, which isn't giving fantastic results. Which class did you do at Nottingham, was it Dyan's or Leandra's? I was in Dyan's class and she used Golden matt and Dyan has told me that Leandra used gel medium but she also used it with paint(?). The images I'm trying to transfer are coloured vintage ones but have really bled on the surface, so it's all distorted. Have you any ideas? When the Rusty Fairy visits the North, I'm not far from York. I can do dinner, B&B

I did both of their classes at Nottingham, wish I had dome them both days, they were so good. I've only booked for Bonanza to do their classes but Dyan sai she is going to make me work in her shop instead!

I can't find golden down here, I just bought some Windsor & Newton Acrylic Matt Medium and it dries very quickly. I also use Jo Sonja;s all purpose sealer but it makes the paper crinkle.

Are you putting it on too thick maybe? Dyan's only over at Harrogate, where in York are you?

I'm using a 10p size blob and it's quite thin. I think it might be because it's slow drying. I'll get some Windsor and Newton and try that instead.

I don't live in York itself, I'm about 40 mins from there towards the East coast. I go to Dyans on a regular basis as my parents live near her studio, that's how I knew about the November weekend. I spoke to her the other day, but she's out of golden until she comes back from America (lucky girl - I asked if she had any room to spare in her suitcase but she didn't:(). Are you going to come up and do some of her classes?

have you tried phoning round a few local art shops - the one here in Swindon has a huge range of Golden stuff - and it's not even that good an art shop, iykwim, so I'm sure it isn't the only one that stocks it...you might find some stockists close to home.

Or if you get really desperate I could buy some for you and post it (it's heavy though, so might cost a bit to post)

Thanks for the offer, I might just take you up on that. I have tried my local art shop, but there are a few others that I can try. I'll pm you if I get stuck:)

I think Artbase sell Golden products, they're not on the website though so you would have to call.
