Puzzles and papers??

Hi I have decided to do my bf an altered puzzle similiar to one that was in a magazine recently.. so got the puzzle and the papers ....

so my question is how do I make sure that the paper once stuck to the puzzle does not come of or start fraying...do I need diamond glaze or modge podge?

I am so excited about doing this that I want to get it right!!!

I would think modge podge would be best - have a look on altered forum for more advice!
