DOLLY MIXTURES WEEK 3 CHALLENGE
Good Morning Everyone hope you are all well this Thursday morning :)
For a theme for our challenge as CONCORDE’s first commercial flights took off on January 21, 1976 from London's Heathrow Airport and Orly Airport outside Paris. We thought we would do something about flight, holidays or travel, also this week is Burns Night and to celebrate that we decided on using a poem/quote (it does not have to be a burns poem of course).
Born in Alloway, Ayrshire, in 1759 to William Burness, a poor tenant farmer, and Agnes Broun, Robert Burns was the eldest of seven. He spent his youth working his father's farm, but in spite of his poverty he was extremely well read - at the insistence of his father, who employed a tutor for Robert and younger brother Gilbert. At 15 Robert was the principal worker on the farm and this prompted him to start writing in an attempt to find "some kind of counterpoise for his circumstances." It was at this tender age that Burns penned his first verse, "My Handsome Nell", which was an ode to the other subjects that dominated his life, namely scotch and women.
Holiday/Flight/travel theme - 10pts
Use a poem/quote to celebrate Burns night 10pts
Use staples (any colour and type inc fastenator) 5 pts
Use up scraps of stash 5 pts
Above all have fun doing this challenge that’s what scrapbooking is about :)

Yeay I've completed my first challenge layout. I have a travel theme, photos from our short break in great yarmouth last october. I have a peom on there and have used up scraps of paper to mat my photos and also to print the poem onto.
I am really pleased with it even if I didn't use staples on it .

Hi there,
Great challenge!
Used it to make a matching LO to last week's challenge and used up the bits left from that.
Here's (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=61845) my attempt anyway.
