Send by 28th February (in good time for Mothers Day if that is anyone's theme!!??

Everyone chooses 3 themes.

Tracy will allocate each person with a swappee to alter a clipbaord for.

Tracy will provide everyone with a blank clipboard and the name & address of their swapee.

You will pick one of the chosen themes, alter the clipboard and then post direct to their swappee within the deadline!

Tracy needs everyone to send her postage stamps to the value of £1 to cover the cost of the clipboards and initial posting please

I'm having major trouble with themes....... but have finally got three ideas (I think :unsure: :lol: ) and these are not in any particular order!! 1. girly (anything girly as I am the only girl in this house!!) 2. time (edited to say this could be clocks/compasses/.. etc etc whatever you take time to mean!!!) 3. I'm a mum to boys so something to do with having boys/sons etc.... I think these are quite open to interpretaion (?sp??) .. at least I hope so! and I am not fussed about lumpy or flat - just do what you (my partner whoever you are) want to do!!!

When I have all the clipboards I will send them out with an address label for posting them direct to your swappee.

Right by the Grand National Racecourse. Aintree. The end of our close is on line for the jump the one before Beeches Brook. Before they build the rest of the houses you could watch the race from my front window. You still can go a bit farther and watch it. I dont as the only time i saw it a poor geegee died it was horrible. But hey the kids love the race - they feel it something special. I did a Lo on it for a comp. DH took crackin photos and as it turned out the horse on the photo was later the winner!!!

Because they are plain in clear packaging I am posting them in big brown envelopes but I think everyone should get a jiffy bag (or recycle one!) for posting the altered clipboards when completed. Does that sound fair?

But there are down sides, and it took a long time to get here.
Remember that 10 years ago I was you with out the crafts, I had not found card making then, but I did have an unheathly love of ebay.

Okay - spent the afternoon putting clipboards in envelopes and matching up envelopes with addresses etc and getting myself in a pickle!!!! The ever helpful 3 year old kept moving things!! eeeek!!

I was going to post them in plain brown envelopes but am now thinking I should maybe tape a stip of bubble wrap to the top metal bit on each pack - just to be on the safe side. Don't think anything could really go wrong but better to be safe than sorry!!

So - another trip to the lovely 99p shop tomorrow for some bubble wrap then it should be all systems go!!!!

Hello!!

Don't want to upset anyone....but......Just a wee note to people sending stamps - I am having to put 2 first class stamps on each envelope for 2nd class postage, and have already paid 50p per clipboard - I honestly cant do this for less than £1! :mellow:

Mine has arrived too Tracy. After finishing a trail run yesterday i've learned a couple of lessons.
Mainly make sure you stick down the whole sheet of paper and not just the edges, as it buckles slightly when you modge podge it. Really glad i learned that or i'd've been in tears doing the one for my swapee

Another tip to stop paper bubbling is to size the clipboard.

You do this by just painting on a layer of glue/mod podge and let it dry. You can also add water to the glue when you are sizing the board. This is because the board is porous. If you apply glue without sizing, most of the glue will just seep into the board instead of sticking your paper down.

Bubbling is less of a problem if you use cardstock weight paper.
