Sorry if this has been asked before, but what software do you all recommend for digi scrapping? I've got paint shop pro 7, but do I need a specific scrapbooking program such as Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe 3.0 or similar?? What do you all use?

Sorry Jackie - I've only just seen this. PSP7 is fine for digital scrapping. That's what I used to start with but have now graduated to PSP8! You don't need anything else apart from a couple of free kits to use. Have a look as shabby princess or scrapbookbytes for some.

Then get to grips with 'layers'. Imagine a pile of transparancies. On each transparancy is 1 element eg 1 paper, one buckle, one mat, one photo etc. To move each element around it needs to be on it's own transparency (layer) otherwise when you move one of the elements all the others will move in the same way at the same time!. You can re-order the layers which brings things to the top eg putting the photo on top of the ribbon or the ribbon on top of the photo etc. You may end up with many layers on one layout.

Once you are satisfied with the whole layout, you save it as a jpg which flattens all the layers into one ie gluing the elements down. This greatly reduces the size of teh final file.

Have a look at the PSP help files.

Hope this helps.

Agree with Elin, I use PSP 8.1 and it's more than enough for most things. Another useful site is www.digitalscrapbookplace.com, if you register they have masses of free downloads and quite a few tutorials too.
