Hello nice to meet you. I am really new to scrapbooking. Just before Christmas my mum was given some card making magazines which I borrowed. I found some Scrapbook Magazines in with them and thought it seemed like a great hobby. I am building up my stock of papers etc and on Tuesday am going to a scrapbooking course with my daughter who I hope will also get hooked ! :) I am going to the Exeter crafts show tomorrow and hope to get some more card stock etc. Can you tell me what is the best glue to use when ataching paper to card stock. I used pva the other day and it just made the card curl. I have made one layout so far so have lots to learn!

Hi Julie, Great to hear from you. I tell you now, you will get addicted to all the products that are out there. I might be going to the Exeter show tomorrow!! Waiting to hear what time etc!!! I use double sided tape alot of the time whn fixing photos and papers to the page. You can also get something called Hermafix which has a little dispenser and you roll it along and something similar to double sided tape is dispensed. I haven't used one but I have heard that they are very quick and clean. Wet glue like PVA will make the paper and card curl. There is a thread in the library ( i think that is where it is, and it tells you all about what types of glue etc to use. let me know if you can't find it and I will find the link for you.

Gosh that was a quick reply! I have just found out that I can PM you- will try in a minute to see if I can do it! Still trying to find out how this site works. I think Exeter show starts at 10 and finishes at 4 tomorrow. Have you been before? I was tempted to travel to the You can Make it Show near Staines but decided it was too far to go plus I don't like the M25. Will PM you now with a bit of luck :)

I have been to a show at Westpoint before but not this particular one. This one is called Craft4Crafters and the other show was Creative stitches and Crafts Alive. i would suggest that you take some sandwiches as they are very pricey and the queue is normally quite long.!! We tend to walk around first and then shop, shop, shop.

Thanks for the link. Have posted you a PMGood plan. about sandwiches. We hope to get there early so we can have a good look round. Mum will be looking for cardmaking stuff I will be looking at everything. I want to get a selection of papers and an album. I think I will get a 12x12. I could also do with something to store all my stash in especialy the papers as our two cats think paper is to rip up and play with - not a good idea! By the way how did you get the nice layout under your name? Its really nice.

I am hoping to get some 12x12 card and some foam alphabet stamps tomorrow but usually get tempted by more. To get a picture under your name you need to go to your profile. You can attached a picture of yourself or a page that you have done etc etc. if you click on your name on the left hand column which is underlined it will take you to your public profile. On the left on the red banner, written in which is 'User CP' click on that and then one of the options on the left is 'Edit Avatar' that should bring up the page to add pictures etc and if I remember rightly will take you through what you need to do. the other thing to note, do you see the little cameras on the lwft under the names of people posting? If you click on that it will take you to their gallery and you can see what they have submitted.
