hi
girls im hoping someone can help me out as this might seem an odd request, but i guessed this was the best place if any to put it
my dad left us when me and my sister were littlle, hes still alive and i know the town he lives in but having looked through the phone book and searched throught the genes reunited site, still cant find him  so where do i go now? its a common surname so thats making it even harder. i only know his first name as no one can think if he had a middle name or not?
any ideas girls? would really love your help in trying to find him.

might be best to write to him first anyway as a phone call out of the blue might be a shock

yeah i was thinking that but then i take the risk of him not actually getting the letter, so if that happened id think he didnt want to know when he never even knew. if that makes sense? have also just got a number for his stepson so might take that route instead? arrrr all these decisions and on a monday too eek!

You could send the letter recorded, so that you'd know it was delivered. Include a phone number and give him a little time to absorb it all...

Bare in mind that his stepson might not even know that you exist!

Good luck - I hope you find him again and it works out well for you :)

Naomi, why don't you write him a letter but then send it recorded delivery where you can get a copy of the signature that signed for it - one way of knowing if he's received it (probably only viable if he lives on his own). Best of luck!
