or thought of altering

I have done tins, CD's notebooks and so on but the strangest thing was a yorkshire pudding tin here in my gallery (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=58503&cat=500&ppuser=7286) I just thought that the actual bit you put the batter in was just so a frame for pictures, now I find myself looking at things and wondering how I could change them the other day I nearly bought a steel sieve !! but couldn't think what to do with it so resisted

I am a bit of an altered item virgin, if you seen what I mean.
BUT … I did buy a couple of items from a charity shop to alter,
when I get round to it! They are about 4"x2", made of wood and hinged, with pictures inside of the Virgin Mary or similar. The outers are curved and the inners are flat.
Not sure if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, but hey!

Not really strange maybe but I like to collect odd shaped children's wooden books from charity shops. Some are scribbled on or a bit battered and so cost literally pennies but are great for altering.
I have some very unusual shapes; a star, a tree, bus, etc.
Have a look round. You will be surprised at what you can find!

The idea of old kids board books is good and I a so fed up with the duch biscuit tins form asda that they went i the bin yesterday, I just dont have the room for all of them.
There is also a few Whiskey tubes, the boxes they come in with a metal lid, that will make a great project.
SO far just tins. Even doing a class next month Tin 'O Tags, we alter the tin and then fill it with highly decorated tags ready for sticking on to cards.
I am in the altered clip board swapp and looking forward tot he challange!
