Thanks Vicki for starting this thread.
I love how you "threaded" the 2006 - and the discover is hanging from the line like a sheet from a wshing line. That is very inspiring. Can't wait to see your next pages

I'm a newbie working on my front cover. Hope to pluck up the courage to share it when I'm finished. Have posted some images on the gallery but never tried an art journal. Like your front cover and first two pages. you are obviously getting into it. I'm trying to get on with mine, but keep getting interrupted. Hope to share a front page soon

I think I'm having a bit of a dim moment. Can't figure out how to upload a photograph into this bit of the website, so I have posted my front page on my gallery for now. Would welcome any comments and perhaps someone can put me straight about the upload thing

DanityDoll

hiya morag, if you want to upload something you click on post reply and there is an option about half way down the page (underneath the typing box) to attach files - you just click on manage attachments. You then click browse, find your file and click upload, you then submit your post as normal. Hope you can get around it - I'm off to have a wee look at your gallery :)

I finally did it YAY. Started with the cover (obviously)

I made this journal totally from scratch. Cut A4 black cardstock in half and bound 10 pages with a spiral bounder. I even put a transparency cover sheet on so, nothing would smudge the cover.

I placed 2 ghostletters with repositional glue onto the cardstock and brushed with some paint over them, that way I had a cool effect once I removed the letters.

Now I have to think about the next pages <_<

Just love all of these. Am really pushed for time at the moment, so probably won't get anything done for a couple of weeks - but you guys have given me loads of inspiration. Thanks for starting it Vicki.
PS Does anyone know where I can buy the right sort of journal/book/thingy?

Thanks I think I've been a bit of a dork and loaded the same thing twice. Someone was asking about where to buy the journals. Mine is an 8"x8" hard backed sketch pad from a company called Pink Pig. You can buy them from any good art store

Thanks for all the positive comments. It's inspired me to keep on going. Went out yesterday and bought a couple of new bits of stash, even although my New Year's resolution was not to spend too much money. Back at work tomorrow (all my student UCAS forms to sort ahhhhhhhhh!). Don't think I'll have too much time for scrapping. Have to fit it in where I can, but I have been enjoying the chat on this thread. Keep the pages coming

Ive had a bash at this and im really happy with the outcome, it is in my gallery if you fancy a look. Ive done 3 pages which i will hopefully get on here in the next few days.
It is going to be used for Rhonna's 21 day challenge, late i know but better than never, it gives me a chance to try out new things on a smaller scale.
All the work so far that i have seen is fab. Im going to enjoy checking the gallerys later.

Inspired by this thread I have made a small journal for October. I have posted 3 pics in my gallery, but thanks to Morag's instructions above, I shall now try to attach one pic of the cover here. I made the whole thing from scratch and have described it in my gallery. Hope you like it. Vonxy

Its gorgeous!

Have mine on my 'to do list' Its been there for months, and unfortunatly there are always things with pressing deadlines that I HAVE to do, so the things like this get pushed aside.

Will tyr and start it this week though. Love yours Vonxy.
