I wanted to start a page swap 4x4 my theme is fairys.

I got a lovely 4x4 book today reduced in smiths but you could easily make your own book.

You end up with a mini album on your theme.
i.e. mine is fairies so I will have a book about them with pictures quotes etc.
Everyone chooses their own theme.


Diz you can do either I have a 4x4 book ready to stick them in but if everyone finds them hard to find I can cut them some sissix pages I will show you later as I have just got in:)

It is art work not scrapbooking therefore if you chose cats you would get a page embellished with cats maybe a cat quote.

You do pages ie 2 x 4x4 and swap with each other ie Say I did 2 pages for you on cats you would do me 2 pages on fairies.
You post them to each other and then when they arrive you stick them in your book.

Love this idea too!, I'm really getting interested in all this Altered Art stuff, do you want peps to sign up (so to speak) to this or do we just jump in when we are ready. Reason I'm asking is that I am really busy with work at the mo, but should have more time by the end of the month, I don't want to commit to too much and then let people down. :unsure:

Hi 6x4 would be no problem as if you are swapping one to one you would just tell your swapee size or sedn them the pages if needed :wub:

Oh thats lucky, I just picked up a book in WHSmiths that was half price in the sale that I was going to use for my swap and thats 6" x 4"
Just got to decide on a theme now..........this could take some time :D

I started a 6x4 on postcards last year:)

I thought it would be interesting to have the front decorated and the back a letter and hinge them in a book so they could be read.

I have only done about 6 but Sarah has suggested an addy swap 6x4 so you might be able to have an open them and get some of the people on her thread to swap pages too :)

Do swaps like this count towards the total amount of swaps we're in? I've joined the address card swap and I'm in another which may or may not be going ahead and I don't want to get my nuckles wrapped.

I think the number of swaps is so people dont over commit if you swap here one to one just offer as you are ready ie say you do one at a time :)

pm the ones you want to swap with and keep a record in your pm box.

the way I see it - this isn't like the official swaps, this is one-to-one so no rules apply really (what rebels we are!!)

Thanks. Hadn't drawn anything for ages, thought I might have forgotten how, but apparently not! Didn't think them up all by myself though ..adapted them from a couple of illustrations. Think I might try phographing them instead of the scanner and see if that brings them up any brighter.

Hi Pam. You can join in whenever you wish. Just post your theme and someone (hopefully lots) will swap with you. You then just do a 4 x 4 LO in the theme of the swappee.

At last, we have a whole weekend with nothing pre-arranged ( and I cant go into town as the FA cup is on in Cardiff!) so I am planning lots of crafty stuff. I hope to get Linda and Jays pages done - I've got everything I need assembled, just need to stick paper together ( as it were! LOL!)
