Altered Clipboards

I sooooooooooooooooooo love doing those. Good thing about them is that you can hang the on the wall no probs and I yet have to find a recipient who wasn't chuffed when they got one of them

The first one I ever did was for a picture that showed the 4 generations of women in our family. Great Grandma, Nan, Mom and me and I wanted to really showcase that lovely picture. The number 4 pops up all around that clipboard. The clock is an altered CD and is functioning (got the works from Ebay for a Quid...
That one has a special place in my craftroom

Next one is on my bedroom side table, about my cuteee OH - once more I had the urge to plonk a CD on there :lol:

Last but not least I made a special Thank You clipboard for my OH's Mom. She just gave us out of the blue a big fat amount of money and I felt a simple card and phonecall wouldn't do. She loves the board - they are not really my colours and I personally wouldn't hang it up but she loves it

Thanks for all the comments huns - think Sarah did like it but you can never tell with home made stuff whether they are just being nice! Sometimes they just do not get the time and effort involved - think that one took me quite a while given the drying time for the modge podge and two coats of paint which makes it a gift worth about - what £500 on my charge out rate if I was still working for clients! LOL

I love making altered clipboards. I made four at for Christmas presents for my son's teacher and teaching asistants - and forgot to take any pictures! :rolleyes: I am hopeless at remembering to do that!

Any suggestions on how best to do this? Would you prefer to pick a specific theme - or even a choice of 3 then I send your blank clipbaord & an address label to your swappee...they decorate it to one of your themes and post it directly to you?? If I was to get the clipbaords would you be happy to send me £1 worth of stamps to cover the clipboard & initial postings?

And where do I go from here!! Do I pm Jane about a swap within the Altered section? I presume 10 would be the maximum?

Hi gang, WOW this is wierd as Dh has just brought me home a clipboard from work as they have finished stocktaking and was going to come on here to see how to alter it?? And this thread was on the headlines.

Would really appreciate it someone could point me in the right direction on how to produce one of these lovelys.
