I've been sitting here for the last 2 hours now trying to work out how to get my text in a circle using Photoshop 6. I've tried to create paths but it won't then let me add text to it. I've also discovered 'polar co-ordinates' but that doesn't seem to give me any control over the size of my circle. Please can someone help me?? Where am I going wrong?

TIA

Lorraine,

I can't remember which software you are using. If it is PSCS then you can create text following the swirly preset shape. You need to create a path around the shape and then add your text. Sorry I can't be more specific - I'm just learning this programme and need to refer to tuts, every time.

In PSP, again you need to use a pre set shape or create a swirly outline, then select your text tool, hover the [A] text tool pointer over a solid part of your shape outline (where you want text to begin) and it will turn to and A with a semi circle underneath it - type away and your text will appear. It may need some adjustments to the leading and kerning depending on how tight your spiral curls are. Plain fonts work best in this situation.

Hope this helps,
Jules
