and it is in my gallery ... I did it in photoshop cs and liked doing it, though it is fiddly ... I take it that gets easier with practice ... the basic idea came from this month's scrapbook inspirations, which showed strips of colour and pics, and I worked from that idea.

Just been and had a look, love the colour. Yes it does get easier but to be honest it probably takes me almost as long as doing a paper lo. Okay you don't have all the cutting and you can do it in front of the TV with no mess to clear up. But I don't particularly want to be able to do something quickly as I wouldn't get the same pleasure of out something taking longer but coming together in the end into something I am really pleased with.

Wow - I love it - how did you do it. Have tried 1 digi layout - but it was following a step by step guide - all i really got to do was choose the colour and the photos!!

IN this month's scrapbook inspirations there was a step by step guide, and I had read it earlier in the week.
So I opened a 12 x 12 window and coloured it pink, the moved a pic in and put in his name, I then cropped it till it was, I suppose, 4 x 12, then replicated the same image in two other shades and tones, using the contrast and brightness etc buttons. Then I dragged each of the three images side by side onto a new 12 x 12, and flattened the image layer, then added in the words.
I think that was it :D
I occasionally use photoshop at work, so had a very basic knowledge of it, but would never have attempted anything without reading about it in SI.
Thanks for the nice comments.

And Val, I can see what you mean about it taking just as long, but the not tidying up is mega!

What do you guys do with digi once it is done though? Do you print it, or just keep it in an online album?

Fab Mitchy, just had a look at your great Digi LO and love the colour shading. I know what you mean to get great results just the same as normal scrapbooking it does take a while. Like many things it does get quicker with practice.

I print my finished LO's out at 8 x 8 and display in that size scrapbook albums. Have done a couple this year for DD's which i managed to get Handbag shaped albums, they looked fab when they were finished. Also completed one for DS to take with him into the Army. Its just a great reminder of home when he's away.

Keep up the great work

Loved it Mitch! The Wallace is a cutie.

I am in a phase of doing paper LOs after having started with digi. The beauty of the digi is that you it is easy to correct mistakes. There's no ARGHH, cut my last paper the wrong size!

Are you going to join in the collaboration kit?
