Hi
Can anyone tell me what teams involves? I am very new to scrapping as you can see, but all these challenges look really interesting and also a lot of fun!
How do you join a team?
Thanks
Jenny

Jenny,

the "teams" are groups of 8 or so members of UKS who group together and follow the challenges to get points for the teams.

You also get points for Layouts, Circle Journal entries etc.

Best to look at Ching's guide to Teams (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=42473) .

Hope this helps! :)

i am also interested in this post.

From what I know Jenny, teams are quite hard to get into, but I don't mind leading one if someone can help me a little with what we have to do.

I think you need 10 people to have a team, so we may have two already?

Mariab definate

When Jenny posts hopefully later we'll change the thread title or do a new one to gather more interest hopefully.

Love 'Humbug's angels' cos it's sort of contradictory.
Thanks for letting me in (through the pearly gates).
An angel I am not and never will be, but I'm a good pretender.

Awaiting instructions.

humbug
09-12-2005, 06:47 PM
i'm thinking you're a cat lover?

if so, you will love the name - humbug is our kitten and believe me he's no angel i have to redecorate the tree evrytime i go out!!!!!!!!!!! :nono:

~mable~
09-12-2005, 06:51 PM
im like that with my 2 year old...cant leave him for a minute without him trashing the tree!! ;)

snipper
09-12-2005, 06:53 PM
Awww - yes we have 4. Only one really bothers with the tree, but he's no kitten, he's 3. He's always been a bit wide-eyed and legless, someone said ginger cats often are. He sits under it, hooking decs off.
My avatar was animated but it lost its get up and go when I resized it. Not too good at this manipulation lark. Maybe someone on our team will be.

well we have 5 absolute definates.

MariaB from the other thread has not replied to my pm and she has been on since i sent it, so if someone else asks they can take her place.

Waiting for Jenny and Kirsten to come back online as there is no other way of contacing them.

Waiting for two more replies so i'll give them a bit of a chance yet.

You OK to start in the New Year, I'll get everything registered so we can hit the ground running when we have the final team? Hope this is ok.

Hi
Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Fiona, aged 45, married with 2 sons (ages 11 and 6). I've done cardmaking for years and started scrapbooking about 18 months ago. Looking forward to being in a team, although you may have to keep me straight about what I have to do.

Morning.
I'm not on the front page, but I'm sure I'm in the team (aren't I?).
I'm also 45, have a boy 17, a girl 15 and another boy 9, who I teach at home. The best thing I ever did incidentally.
I love scrapping, making books and the occasional card. I like a challenge, and I'm looking forward to being part of team to spur each other on. There's not much in my gallery on UKS, hopefully we'll start working on things once we're up and running.
See you later.

No, and the few I have met have always been nice, lol.
I'm Eleanor to all my family, so that's fine by me.
As long as no-one sticks an H on, that always drove me mad, but was living in the south west then, (born in Devon) so maybe it was a southern thing.

Love the idea of a dog called Chief, by the way, and my youngest would love that too, I'll tell him later, he is on the autistic spectrum (so is his older brother) and so I won't interrupt what he's doing right now...

see you later
