Hi,

I have a colour photo of Dorothy & her red slippers from the Wizard of Oz. I need to change all the photo to b&w, but leave the slippers red.
How do I do this, in VERY simple steps ????

Many thanks, Angela

PS Any ideas on how to put on a Wizard of Oz display at a musical next week ???

Do you have Photoshop Angela?

If not... PM me... I'll give you my email address, you can email me the pic and I'll do it for you.

It is very simple in Photoshop... but if you don't use it it won't make much sense.

This is spooky! I was about to ask the same!! I am hoping to do my Christmas cards of DD's in B&W but leave the dress red!

I have photoshop 7 - would you mind explaining what to do? Pretty please!!!

Ok... so in Photoshop 7...

1. Open the image
2. Duplicate the image (layer) by selecting Layer/Duplicate Layer
3. With the top layer (the duplicate/copy) selected (which it will be by default)... select Image/Adjustments/Desaturate
4. The top image will then go to Black and White
4. Using the eraser tool, erase the ruby slippers... and you will see the red from the image layer below coming thru.

Save the finished image as a jpg and...Thats it!
