Hi Everyone

I was just wondering if anyone has had to replace the blades yet, if so how long after you bought the machine.

I use mine to cut flex for T-Shirts and just feel they are getting a little blunt.

Thanks Emma.

Unfortunately I do not think there is an easy answer. It really depends on what material you are cutting and how often you use the Robo, much like scissors I suppose. Some material will blunt the blades a lot quicker than others. As you will find on this site some of us have yet to change our blades but others have had to order replacements but this appears to be down to the materials. There is no easy answer I'm afraid.

Mmmmmmm now I wonder....

If we attached a sheet of aluminium foil to the carrier whether that would a) cut and not shred everywhere... and b) sharpen the blade in the process as it does with punches and scissors...

I'll try and pluck up courage to try it later... maybe....

Yes you can cut kitchen foil no problem, but I can't say if it sharpened the blade, because at the time my blade was fine.

Maybe someone with an old blunter blade would be prepared to try that then????
