I'm setting this up a little early as I have my DGS staying over tonight and I might be a little pre-occupied in the morning!!;)

Here is this weeks challenge set for you by the HYPERSCRAPS team!

As the festive season approaches we often have "HAPPY" thoughts about the Christmases when we were little....how excited we USED to be about Santa's arrival....the family gatherings....the special food, etc.

So this weeks challenge is all about that...what can YOU remember from your childhood, what made you buzz with excitement and anticipation?

A lot of you may not have photos of this occasion....so you don't need to use one .... I, for one, am REALLY keen to see how some of you will do your LO's with no photos...My DH doesn't have ANY of himself at Christmas time and I really want him to do a memory page for our album. My own LO has journalling on it which started out as a little note regarding the photos....it turned into a 6 page mini booklet....the memories flowed once I began writing! SO get those Christmas thinking caps on.....

Theme : CHRISTMAS PAST - Your own childhood memories of what made Christmas special to you....you do NOT need to use a photo. Include all those traditions, surprises, smells, foods, games etc = 10pts

Journalling put onto "gift" tags or in mini Christmas cards = 5pts

Ribbon or Rik Rak (ribbon is always around in some form or another at Christmas time) = 5 pts

Christmas embellie (holly, present, tree, etc) = 5pts

Something "SHINY" (ie, glitter, twinkling star, glistening snowflake etc) = 5pts

Hope you all enjoy this challenge and the HYPERSCRAPS look forward to your works of art!:D

Hi guys, I loved doing this...got to do the journalling stil, but can't get it onto PC...DH home at w/e will have a go at him and see if we can sort it out:P

I must add that some of you may not of had good childhood Christmas' but what about ones a bit more recent...birth of a child, grandchild, a marriage, a meeting with a partner.....this will be just as acceptable, as they are all 'past' memories:D.....sorry to stand on your toes Tracey;)

Do you know, as I sit here I can do one with DS too:lol:

This is a fantastic challenge hyperscraps. Love it!! Just got to pop down to my parents over the weekend to see if they have any photos of us as kids. Dont recall any, they used mostly video. I hope i find something as it would be nice to record some of my childhood xmas memories for DD to enjoy when she gets older.

Ooh, think I will try and do this on, thanks hyperscraps. Just bookmarking to remind me. Have been needing some inspiration to do a page rather than all the other stuff like altering and mini books.

Thanks for this challenge girls, I'd said I wasn't going to do this one as i have only sketch memories of christmas from when i was little. However my Dad was working overseas last year so it was the first one without him. So i have done a page about recent past Christmasses before that, and particularly the things he does...

Hope this is OK..

Caroline how did you do the link with only the word 'HERE'

CarolineO

Hi Lynne,
I'm not that great at explaining but here goes,...
First off upload ur picture as normal, and copy the url of the page that it appears on like so, highlight the page in the browser and right click with the mouse and click copy
where u reply to a message u'll see Post quick reply or go advanced, click the second option, go advanced.
Type in ur message and then where u want to link to appear click on the bit above where ur typing ur message where it gives options for formatting ur message to BOLD, ITALIC, ETC, there u will see a little blue ball with a kinda paperclip beneath it, click on that, it will ask u what script u want linked, this is the bit that will show up blue on ur posted message. Click ok if it is. Then in the next box paste in ur previously copied URL. Just right click and click paste. Viola!!! There u are with a link in ur message!
Hope this explains. If u've any other bother pm me or post here and I'll see whats happening for u.

Another explanation without using the shortcuts.....

type the following omitting the * * and replacing the url and text as you want it

[*url=put in here the url of the webpage you want to show*]type here wording as you want it to be seen*

So Lynne....for example....this is how to do yours...but REMOVE the *'s and it will take it self down to just displaying Lynne's LO

[*url=http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=58160&cat=503*] Lynne's LO

URL is the text in the address bar on the page you want to copy. remember you must use the correct type of brackets [ ] as next to the "P" button on the keyboard - lower case
