I have started an on-line digital course (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=82840)
which I am really enjoying.
I was thinking about uploading some of my first attempts (am only just getting to grips with the 2nd lesson, so we are talking basic here!!) as I am so pleased but need some help how I do it!
Thanks

I use PSP9 but you should be able to change these instructions for your programme.
Assuming you created your page at 12 x 12 inches, I save as a .PSPimage - this allows you to change or edit any part of it at a later date. After saving as a .PSP I then go to Layers>Arrange>Merge All (flatten). Copy this as a new document. Close your original and when it asks "save changes?" click NO.
Next go to Image>Resize and change the resolution from your 300 or 200dpi to 72dpi. Your width and height should still stay at 12 x 12. Pixels will be 864 x 864 pixels, click o.k.
Next go to File>Export>JPEG optimiser and move the slider up/down until you reach under 125K. Click save (I have a folder called Web in my PSP scrap page file - that way you don't try to upload the larger file). That's it.
When you go to the gallery there is an Upload Photos button on the right hand side, click that and under Browse point the computer to the folder in which your web page is and go from there with the rest of the details.
No doubt there will be other ways to do this but this is the method I was taught over two years ago and it hasn't let me down yet!
Hope this helps, if not post again or pm me and I'll try to help further.

I save mine as .PSP images for me to keep and play with later but then I also save them as .jpeg for uploading. Then I use arcsoft and open transform, make the size 600 x 600, and the resolution 72, resave and upload.

Thanks guys
I have managed to reduce the resolution to 72dpi but cannot get the JPEG to reduce to less than the required size - how do I do that!?

In PSP there is a JPEG optimiser (File>Export>JPEG Optimiser) with your 72 dpi image open click on the JPEG Opt. and in the set compression value box, slide the blue bar up/down and you will see (under the preview window a compression of e.g. 76,616bytes - this is 76kb, move the slider until you get whatever size under 125kb you think looks best. Click O.K. and then save to wherever your web folder is.
HTH,
Holler if not,

Whew, glad you worked it out cos I only started with PSP V8 and know that was when some of the major changes took place!
No excuses now, enjoy!
