At least the hotel now know we are not naturalist fighters... well, not until we are drunk anyway LOL..

Next time you see me i'll be the size of a truck, then when you see me again next Nov i'll be grey haired and black eyed through lack of sleep... what a pleasant thought LOL... MUST GO AND ORGANISE MY STASH.... I've cleared my desk specifically to organise it all. It's Giselle's fault entirely as she got me into this organised person mode...

Yep that's right! By next year I want to see regimented boxes all labeled with precise details of their contents, cardstock neatly in colour order stacks, photos in boxes by date order, embellishments divided by name ie: metal, plastic, paper....you getting the idea?????
Nah...can't see it happening somehow
November is such a long way off. Can't we do something in the spring/summer to keep us going till then?
PS Naomi...I like those boxes, where did Angie get them from?

  i cant see that happening either! im sure mine will last a week and then ill go back to my normal messy self
something in the spring sounds fun doesnt it, not sure OH would be so keen though, he didnt even look after my two but has spent the last two days looking like he hasnt slept in weeks.
the boxes were from a place called hooties. a huge warehouse type thing this is near to her.
they did have lots of nails ect in them so you might find them at another diy type place. :)

Perhaps we could organise a swap or something fun?!
rainydaybox
15-11-2005, 01:18 PM
Is there a central point we could all meet up? London?
I'll have a sproglett by April remember so for me to come, it would have to be July onwards or you'll see me at my absolute worst LOL..
When is Kitten due? Must be about early March?
Failing that, Giselle get the book of hotels near Bristol and we'll plot the next one up there...
The hotel did say we could do something Sep 15 / 16th if anyone fancies a mini-crop? It would just be the Fri & Sat tho as they are booked for the Sun. I was thinking of doing it anyway as the weather would be nicer..
rainydaybox
15-11-2005, 01:19 PM
Or we... could just swap children with those who don't have them or have outgrown theirs?
gayepaula
15-11-2005, 01:29 PM
Mmmmm, wouldn't mind swapping kids - not sure whose I'd want tho!
I might have a look here too for hotels and see what I can do here if anyone fancies it although crop by the sea was lovely.
I too ned to chat to DH about change of dates as we always go to the local fireworks display and it is always on 5th but i could always leave earlier on the Sunday to get back in time so I can't see it as being a problem. Also its Mums birthday on 1st so it will be a great pressie for her too :) We are hoping she will have moved by then so she won't be working in the school so can come on the Thursday too

When is Kitten due? Must be about early March?
Spot on, Becky - I'm due March 19th. I agree that I'd rather wait until at least midsummer when things will have calmed down a bit! I don't know if we could manage a long weekend again before November, but a day or even one night's stay, in London would be ideal for me/us. I could even possibly come by train as the line runs straight through my town and only takes 45 mins.
I don't know if you've recieved any PMs yet, but 2 members of my team (Nadine and Liz from The Scrappin' Divas) are very interested in the retreats. I pointed them in your direction but did explain that the numbers are limited. Perhaps those 2 could take mine and Heal's places? Just a thought!

Hi Beck and e1
How funny - I organised all my stash when I got back as well. I went to finish a CJ entry today and couldn't find a thing
I will get the deposit ofr me and Mum in the post to you this week Becky. Mum and I would like single rooms again if that's O.K please
Emma :)
Princess Kitten
15-11-2005, 05:14 PM
Can some kind person clarify the 'silly photo' 8x8 LO we're suppose to be doing? Is it linked with the CJ? Do we just make an 8x8 and scan it in?
I missed it on the boards and didn't hear about it until the poloroids had actually been taken!
Emma Jane
15-11-2005, 06:52 PM
Kitten - I think the idea is to make an 8x8 LO using your polaroid piccie and then post it to Becky to add to the CJ :)

Hiya everyone - just little ole me signing in and bookmarking the thread (with a bit of luck that is) :D .
I have to say how impressed i am Naomi with your storage solutions! ;) ....and also have to add i have somehow become super prganised since the retreat - my paper packer now has page kits, all the bits i want to use for my piccies all in seperate bags so i can just take em to the crop and produce my lo's :D :D not at all like me i have to add  .
Well i'll be there for sure, hopefully on thursday but will check with the others and see waht the general sensus is.
Will get my lo to you a.s.a.p but may be a little while becky, if you can bear with me.
Right - me and my hot choc (yes with baileys in it  - well i had a terribly awful day at work.......my excuse and i'm sticking to it :P .) are off to catch up everywhere else.
Take care all xxxxxxx

Hiya Mummy Bubz...love the name, now we'll all definitely remember who you are with that one!! ~Love the avatar of you & Clair! Ahhhh
Hi to everyone else, am mega busy at the mo will but post pix of last weekend sometime very soon. I've just realised how little time I have left to: make Christmas cards, altered prezzies, go Christmas shopping, make DHs birthday card, make DDs birthday card, go to the wedding in Ireland and then off on my hols, so am running about like a headless chicken!!
Still haven't found anything new to wear for said wedding....I'll be going in my jeans at this rate. Why don't they make up-to-date clothes for women my age?? I do not want to dress like my grandmother!!! Where can I find somthing trendy, that I won't freeze in (Dec+Ireland=cold!!) and that actually does not make me look like a sack of spuds??

You could always visit Bexhill and get some nice nylon dresses with fake pearl necklaces attached like the ladies on the Turkey & Tinsel tour wore... (I can only type this as I am way out of hitting reach)... Seriously though, you are hardly the classic 'old granny' type of person, how about trying Next? Not an option for me as they don't dress above a size 16 I don't think but you'd be fine.
Or.. you could go in fancy dress? A nice Anne Summers number with wellies or something? At least they'd not forget you in a hurry...

Morning all! Love the name and avvie Mummy Bubz! Think the creche is a good idea, then if I ever manage to breed I can bring my sprogettes along! Only thing is, they'll prob be ginger, so might have to separate them from other sprogettes - don't want to have mini-me's being scared! Giselle, there were some nice dresses on What not to wear last night from M&S... I know M&S can bring out some awful old ladies rubbish, but some stuff's pretty nice! Or you could just internet shop - much safer.

17-11-2005, 10:42 AM
I saw those M & S dresses on What Not To Wear too. Didnt know that they did nice stuff like that... I never think of going in there. Usually end up in Next for my christmas outfit but think I might try M&S this year.
Can't believe how cold it is today!!!!
Giselle
17-11-2005, 11:40 AM
Thanks girls for the tips, have tried Next but all their clothes are too short in the body for me, another prob with being 5'8" tall! Ho hum
Will check out M&S tho, like you, hadn't thought of going there. I never watch 'What not to Wear" - can't stand those 2 women!!
Failing that it's the nylon dress with attached fake pearls as suggested by Becky...don't you be too complacent about being too far away from me tho my girl: got car, can travel!!!

Giselle have you tried Talbots - one of my smart friends always buys stuff in there, don't know about the height bit, but she is about 5,7".
Please can someone pm me Becky's address for my CJ, tried to pm her but don't know if it got through. Thanks.

Quote from Gaye from the other thread:
"Patricia rolling around on the floor laughing
Angie and Naomi passing round bottles of booze
Fay being led astray
Me standing on a chair singing
Kitten & Healz snuggling with mini-kitten
Lucy trying to help me with a LO
Becky talking to Ali
Everyone not already mentioned raiding through the shops...
... except for Giselle in the serenity corner, scrapping for Britain".......
That just about sums it up except I'm not so sure about the serenity corner. You were too far away to hear all the swearing & cussing going on there
So remind me exactly who is going to the FEB retreat??

Hi e1
Giselle - good luck with the outfit. I bought one for my Sister's Wedding from Coast. They do really pretty dresses but not so much in the way of suits. I justified it by the fact I can wear it again for DH's Christmas Party :) They seem to come up quite long (but at 5 feet tall I think that about every shop lol)
Becky - I have posted a cheque off to you. It should be there today or tomorrow. It is for both me and Mum (but in seperate rooms)
Catch up with you all soon

I'll not be back on until next week at the earliest by the look of things. Isn't it just soooo annopying when life gets in the way of scrapping and nattering????? If anyone needs to call me, the number is on the homepage of the website.

I wouldn't worry too much, Angie - you're not alone!
Becky has also been very patiently waiting for a cheque from me and Spotty Pants for weeks! Firstly I lost my cheque-book, then I had PC problems and couldn't get to her address! I can't send off a cheque until I get one raised at the bank tomorrow
I think with everything going on in her life at the mo, the deposits probably top aren't of her list of priorities.

Awww Hi Kitten, how are you Spotty Pants and Mini Kitten? Hey you would be proud of me - i sat the other night and altered a bracelet, adding a few leaf shaped beads and hello kitty findings i had and made myself a handbag charm - i think i pmpresed myself, lol.
Well i have just written a cheque for becky so at least i can carry it around in my bag for a few weeks (which is what usually happens before it gets posted). Hope Becky is ok - haven't been on here for a while so i'm not sure if i have missed any important messages, will go have a scoot through and check.
Love to everyone else on here,

Spangle,
Good to hear that you have gone to deaf club, it's bound to be a bit scary , however persevere, practice really does make perfect. If you are signing you will find deaf people are really supportive and if you ask, they are sure to offer hints and tips.
My stage two has been going well although, my confidence took a knock, as my tutor said that I may be enthusiastic, but I really need to work at it , as I do more mime than sign. But am going to do some deaf day workshops to brush up on my BSL in general. :)
Good to hear from you and keep me posted with your progress..

Pippin,
I am fine thanks, bit knackered from my sunday job today, but thank goodness, I have finished a report and done a presentation last friday to get on a training course to move up a level in my main job - so now just have to see if I have got on the course. Now it should be downhill all the way to Christmas. woohoo. Also had my yearly appraisal (at my main job) and got top grade and therefore a payrise...

Haha...you've cottoned on to me correctly Naomi! BUT I would have done you proud last night at the Irish wedding celebrations - 2 glasses of wine and a gin& tonic!!!! And I was still standing at 2am - well bopping about the dance floor actually! That Irish music is so foot-stompingly encouraging
Had a great time and got back this evening. However I will be SOOOOO glad to get my head back onto my own feather pillow - I think the Irish must like sleeping on boulders as my hotel pillow felt like a lump of concrete ;)
Anyway - Hello all :D - hope you had a gd weekend and are looking forward to Christmas. I have my Dad visiting me this week and then loads more of the family over here next weekend for "mini christmas". And 2 more mag articles to finish before Friday... eeeeeeeekkk...maybe a few more G&Ts might help??? :nono:

Hi Judith..the outfit turned out great; black trousers and a taupe coloured light weight knitted top (in some silky sort of cotton material!!) I even bought an ethnic looking necklace with dangly bits that was approved by my DD!!
Forgot to mention that the groom, my DHs nephew, and his 3 "groomsmen" all wore traditional green kilts & all the usual Celtic regalia. They looked fab, especially as they all had good strong chunky legs!!! And before you ask, I don't know what they had on underneath..................

I've never been to an Irish wedding. My nephew gets married on Christmas eve but they've said 'no kids' - I'm that cross that I'm voting with my feet.. My nephew was my page-boy 26 years ago. I feel done out because I can take my kids anywhere & they behave like little angels - they've always sat through a church Communion service since they were born, so they are blessed with patience. :D
BTW, I can't believe how quickly the time is going before the retreat.

I understand that entirely! When we got married friends kept asking us if it was ok to bring their children...we hadn't even considered the possibility of not having kiddies there! For us, a wedding is a family occasion.
At the reception, we even had a separate room with 'circus'-style toys and a bouncy castle especially for the children (well , those grown-up speeches can get reeeeally boring! LOL)

Hi Ali (and everyone else too!)
It really was a nice feeling to post on this thread. Felt like I was popping in to see some 'old friends'! And yet, most of us only met each other for the first time last month!! I guess that is what comes from all the chatting we did prior to the crop!!
So is anyone doing anything exciting for christmas?? Not much excitement from my end over christmas, but can't wait for the new year, as we are off to Kenya for 3 whole weeks for what will be a well earned break!!

Fenugen (or however you spell it) is supposed to be good at knocking out kids - I have a friend who uses it for flying, as long as they are over 2.
Have actually done some scrapping this afternoon - one from scratch and another that has been looking at me half done for ages. It's the first time I have actually done more than a few minutes since our weekend - how sad is that?

Lorraine
How old are your little ones, Lorraine? My sister and BIL have taken their 2 to Australia in economy twice and the kiddies were very well behaved, so they must have been doing something right!
My nephew had a walkman, a Gameboy, his school reading book and some colouring books to keep him amused, all in his own backpack (so it's not in your carry-on luggage! )
My neice (who was 5) had the same, minus the Gameboy. She had her favourite teddy with her though and was therefore relaxed enough to sleep a lot!

Hi all
Everyone's just left from our manic Mini Christmas, which went really well. The boys loved their prezzies and I didn't burn the dinner (yesterday or today!!)
Emma - thanks for your nice comments about my LOs!
Lorraine - here's a tip which worked for George last Christmas when we all flew to Florida - buy some new books and comics and wrap them up like presents. Hand them out at intervals during the flight. A new box of pencils, some stickers and if the kids like any particular TV/film characters that you can buy models of...that was a big hit with G!! He made up lots of stories and acted them out on the little table with some new Star Wars "people". Plus there's always a kid's channel on the movie screen. The individual headphones made him feel really grown up!:D
We're off to Florida again on Wednesday night, so it's really countdown time for us now. 3 weeks and 3 days of bliss and no work...yey
I'll pop in here and say bye bye before we go!

Ali, Kitten and Giselle - Thanks for the tips regarding the kids on the plane. DS is nearly four and DD is 18 months. A friend of mine who goes to Canada with her DD, also goes armed with loads of activities, and she says that works for her too. So I will definitely try that. DD absolutely loves reading, so will have to go armed with books. Will also hunt out Fenugen for her just in case!
Giselle, have a great time in Florida!!
Emma, I echo Giselle's thanks for the praise about my mag layout. Was really looking forward to this month's issue of Scrapbook Inspirations!

Hello All
Sounds like you're all busy planning exciting things... Kenya is lovely - my sister used to live there near Lake Naibashia. Have fun Lorraine!
Giselle - I still think you are mean not packing me in your case.
I have done NO scrapping. Am on bedrest as I had really bad lower back & abdomen pains for a few days... BORING... I am so bored I cannot even get the inspiration tos crap. Was meant to be going to the Herstmonceux crop today but DH wouldn't allow me to break the bed ban. Totally unfair... how much harm can it do to chop up paper and add glue & photos... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......
Well, good luck with the Christmas planning everyone. I was a complete cheat this year and ordered those big 2kg tins of chocolates online from Tesco grocery... each family I have to buy for has got a tin of chocs instead of individual pressies as it was just getting ludicrously expensive. I also got people things from Oxfamunwrapped.com a goat for MIL (no commentes here, she likes Goats), it seemed a good idea rather than buying another bunch of smellies to sit in the bathroom cupboards....
Big hugglies, I am off back to bed before I get caught on here LOL...

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Had a quick catch up on the thread, and a big congratulations to Becky about the news. It will be fantastic having a girl, believe me!! And yes, I have to agree that it is really great to have the girl follow the boy. I wanted there to be a very small gap between my two so that they would be the best of play mates. As it turned out three is a 2 years and 4 months gap, but you would think so, as she seems so much more advanced than he was at his age. And from observing other girls, I am convinced that is the reason.
Sure you are all busy getting ready for tomorrow. DH kindly offered to prepare the turkey for me so I got a bit of a break!! Woohoo!!!

Happy New Year
bump getting bigger so it's harder to scrap as it's harder to lean over the table LOL... I need to get one of those wheely tables that go over the bed - like they have in hospitals.. LOL
So... anyone got any New Years Resolutions???? I broke mine yesterday... it was to get up earlier in order to be more organised before taking Ben to school.... oops!

   Becky - i can just imagine you trying to scrap over your bump :P .
I made an easy resolution - i decided my clothes i haven't worn for a year or more are going to the charity shop. I have way too many clothes and am unlikely to wear so many of them now so i figured i may as well give someone else chance :D .
Emma - Jane, thanks for the advice over on my knitting thread - i did give it a quick go myself before posting the stuff to Mom but was a complete pleb and couldn't figure it out  . Maybe if i bring some stuff to the Nov retreat you may wanna teach me (in the bar of course ;) ).........or not (i'm a terrible student  but the bar bit sounds a great idea :P )
Anyway, i'm taking myself off to bed as i have a horrible cold :( i hate being poorly - as a nurse i think i should be exempt from being ill, it's just not right.
Love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'll see if Spotty Pants wants to join, as he's not in a team yet and could do with the motivation! We won't be able to give you a definate answer 'til this evening/tomorrow morning, though so if anyone else jumps in first - fair enough!

Patricia and anyone else who's 'Tickled Pink':
Spotty Pants will have to decline. He's worried about not being able to fully commit to a team and doesn't want to let anyone down, so we feel the place should go to someone who would really benefit from it. He's working 6 days a week at the moment and has commitments every Tues and Thurs evening so has no time to scrap (or breathe!) at the moment. He'd love to be considered in the future, though, if a place comes up - probably after 'D Day'!

Good luck all you tickled pink ladies (and gents?) - will look out for you on the boards.
Kitten, shouldn't it be B-DAY?
Counting down to November.......

...actually, Ali, I was thinking about you today. Remember that gorgeous embellishment you made for the 'Fireworks LHS' LO at the retreat? (I've added a thumbnail to help!)
Well, I was wondering if you could give me step-by-step on how you made it? I thought it was so lovely - like an enamel brooch.
I treated myself to a pack of Bazzill Chips but before I invest in a bottle of UTEE and goodness knows what else, I want to make sure I spend my money wisely on the stuff I'll actually need!
Thank you!!!!!

It's sort of packing itself as I go. I don't want to tempt fate as I haven't even had the baby shower yet!

9 months.... that's not so long I guess. I am sooo excited about going back there already - all that tinsel, turkey & general Christmassy feel-good factor is wonderful.
Kitten - am sooo jealous you are having a baby shower, I really wanted one but have no idea what to do and no friends to invite LOL... nobody round here would have a clue what I would be going on about....
Feb retreat very soon now... I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nervous as I always am before hand... what if the hotel blows up before the weekend, we all get food poisining or the shops coming run out of bazill????? My reputation would be ruined LOL....
I think for Nov we should mix in with the theme of the hotel at that time and all dress as Mrs Christmas, elves or something very christmassy and silly... Healz can be Father Christmas and the old ladies could all sit on his knee LMAO...... I can just see them all lining up now.. They'd probably even pay him...

Inviting family would be great if I had any other than MIL LOL... My sister is local but totally not into babies in any capacity & wants none... My stepmother thankfully lives in France and would not be invited anyway.
I could have one with the cats? I'm sure they'd enjoy it if I made some little trifles LOL...

Kitten - Wow love your Avatar - you really do look glowing. I never had a baby shower for either of mine. Nothing like that really existed in the UK when DS was born (or if it did noone told me )
Good luck with all the planning and don't worry - it will be fine :)
Becky - Have fun at the February Retreat (and e1 else who is going)
I think I could manage a Christmas hat in November if that's any good?
Ooh and shoebox and I have got a yummy prize for November. We were going to volunteer to organise scrapping bingo or a game of some sort and we got a present for the winner today. Its very nice so I might have to fix the game so I win

Hi Naomi - Oh poor Jack. It happens to them all - no matter how closely you supervise them, warn them and on occassion save them from falling there's always the odd time that they do it anyway. Its still horrible when they hurt themselves though so I hope he feels better later on (and you :))

I am shattered - constantly fidgeting baby and flu-like bug that keeps making me shake all day. I blame it on Gaye as she was flu-like over the Feb retreat... and because I just like blaming Gaye anyway!
Hope everyone else gets better soon. Am off for a hot bath to try and knock myself out for a while...

Becky - I did wonder if you were possibly going to deliver before me - can't put my finger on it exactly, just picked up the 'vibe'! It's so exciting and scary all at the same time isn't it. I'm fed up to the back teeth with waiting for the bump to drop so I can breathe and go to the toilet properly again (!) but at the same time I'm trying hard not to wish the time away. I may never conceive again, so I want to savour all this forever.
rainydaybox
15-02-2006, 09:12 AM
Mmmm I know what you mean about savouring it. I never thought i'd have another one so this was a complete shock! I'm soooooo lucky. I am however seriously nervous. I've never been into labour before and have no idea if i'll manage it this time or if they'll do a c section again. Nobody seems to want to answer any of my queries which is making me really, really anxious. Each consultant says something completely different and it's doing my brain in! Well, that is the little bit of brain that hasn't already gone rusty with all the hormones...
Are you at the stage yet where you realise that baby actually does have to come out??????? I remember this bit from last time round... baby is cute & sweet then gets big and blo**y uncomfortable then it hits you... big head small hole LOL..... aaarrrrrgggghhhh we are MAD...
A friend of mine offered to let me watch her c section video... I mean, please.... who on earth actually wants a video of a c section? Let alone showing it to dinner guests????? I cannot imagine anything more horrible. Maybe i'm a hard-nosed woman and miss the beauty that emerges all sticky & revolting from the goo.... They already showed my other friend who was seriously horrified and now sees our friend in a new light...
Why can't birth be like Dallas.... woman lies on satin sheets on big bed at home in a crisp white nightie, screams a bit, has brow mopped free of sweat, husband bends down under the sheets and produces fully clothed (in white) approx 3 month old child.... woman lies back and nanny takes over anyway whilst the happy parents crack open the champagne. That's my kind of childbirth. No stitches, no hospital, gore and most importantly... no pain LOL...
rainydaybox
15-02-2006, 09:19 AM
Forgot to add... please feel free to ignore my ranting over the next few weeks... I should have warned you all that I have complete paranoia about anything to do with going into labour, hospitals or pain LOL...... Now I remember why I wanted to adopt....
Last time round locked myself in the loo for over 3 hours in complete panick until John got there. I suspect a straight jacket and muzzle may be required this time round. I completely panic if they don't tell me what's going on. I'm fine as long as they talk to me and tell me what they are doing. Last time, I had no idea what the hell was going on as not a single person actually told me what was wrong with me... They did that fab trick of pulling the curtain across the bed and discussing me behind it... as if the curtain is soundproof LOL... The first I knew of the c section was when the anesthiatist turned up.
I need a copy of Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy with the front cover of 'Don't Panic' written on it...

btw Kitten - what ever made you think the baby dropping will stop you going to the loo - I hate to tell you but it just makes the room for your bladder even smaller - more trips than ever, but yes, you will be able to breathe! and eat slightly more at one sitting!

Hello, sorry for not being very communicative... I have DH home with flu (there is NOTHING worse than a man with flu), DS home with tonsilitis and I am on full bed rest as I have pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes... despite not eating any sugar for weeks...
I am on the verge of moving into the garage as the male population of this household are driving me nuts. All the time they were really ill it was fine as I could knock them out with calpol / nurofen accordingly but as they get better... the whining and general refusal to deal with life is enough to drive anyone crazy. Why is it that when us women are ill... we still manage housework, cooking, shopping, childcare etc.... when a male is ill.... they can do nothing but moan, watch football and be generally revolting???
I'll copy this to the other thread as I may not be around for a while - pssible c section next Wed so will update you all asap! Baby is apparently already 6lbs.... aaaaaaaaarrrrrggggg BIG BABY.... if I went full term she'd be over 10lbs...

Mnay a true word said in jest... Healz has bought a new digi camera especially for the big day - but it's in my birth plan to have my own camera next to the bed! I never go anywhere without it and I don't intend to let it out of my sight that day either!

Sorry that I haven't been on here much...not much of an excuse really except that we have stepped up the house-hunting a bit lately. Have now put in an offer on a house 2 streets away. It's got a scrap room!!! It's got a scrap room!!! It's got a scrap room!!! It's got a scrap room!!!
(Oh yes and a few bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen somewhere too!!!!) Fingers crossed that we can actually proceed to the buying stage!!
Hope everyone else is well - any of you got snow? We had some yesterday - bah humbug!!
Green with envy! You must be better, I can imagine you dancing round the house at that bit of news! Glad you are better, and fingers crossed for some progress on the buying front.
We had snow too, but it only stuck to cars and rooves (roofs?)

Well nothing's certain yet. Ours is going on the market this afternoon and until we're in a position to proceed further the house we want is basically still up for grabs. I HATE this house buying/selling c**p!! The only winners are the estate agents. But what else can you do? Oh yes, I am better - thanks SO much for asking! :P But DH has a cold now so hoping it doesn't get worse as he is so busy at work & won't take time off.
Kitten - now tell me, just WHERE are you going to put that camera?????!!!!!
Hope everyone else is ok. Stay warm! :)

Hi all, I'm still here!
How are you all? And how are those 2 waiting-in-the-wings babies?
Happy Birthday Angie! xxx
Oooo Ali - just noticed you're going to Centre parcs - have a fabby time - I love that place! Loads of photo opportunities!
Here's the main breaking news from the SW...we've found another scrap room !!!!(complete with attached house ;) ) - we were beaten to the post on the 1st one - and have a cash buyer for ours!! We currently live at no.3 and are hoping to buy no.97!!! We could move our furniture using a wheelbarrow it's so close! Apart from having to rip out the kitchen and make it twice the size (it's really mini at the mo) the rest is just fine.
So keep everything crossed for us girls.<_<
Been to a crop today and did 3 LOs! No other exciting news to relate.

Hi everyone,
Becky & Kitten - not long now (if you haven't already gone into labour:huh:)
Yes...funny you should say that!...
I can very proudly announce the arrival of William on Wednesday 1st March at 7:02pm. He weighed 7lbs 7.5oz and is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Mr Spotty Pants and I are completely in love!
There were a few complications with the delivery which is why I had to stay in until last night - got home just after 9pm and there's still a couple ongoing 'things' to sort out. I'm in huge pain and can hardly walk at the moment, so I'll be online occasionally but for now I'll be taking a break from scrapping. I wil post some gorgeous baby photos very soon though!
Thanks for all the support and wishes of good luck over the months, girls!
Becky - how are you? you were due to be delivered on Wednesday weren't you? I wondered if the 'race' had been a draw?! :P

CONGRATULATIONS KITTEN & HEALZ...... Fab news and I am just soooooo jealousw LOL... I am still pre-baby at the moment as the consultants are arguing over how long to leave me in hell before they decide to finally get it all over and done with...
Brilliant name - we were going to have Edward William if this was a boy! Sorry you are in pain.
If I am quiet on here... it's mainly due to a never ending stream of hospital appointments - scans, diabetic bloke and consultant along with the ever useless antaenatal classes that don't prepare you for c sections anyway! I have learned some nice breathing techniques tho which might come in handy for some dirty phone calls to hubby at work LOL.....
I am soooo excited about William, I hope this little one isn't much longer and they can grow up to be scrapmates...
Angie - I am so sorry I missed your birthday. I even made you a card but have lost it already (ask Giselle or Gaye as they can vouch for how easy it is to lose stuff in my flat).... I will find it one day and send it on out of the blue LOL... when you're 80 or something...
Anyway... must dash... off to see the midwife... I swear i've spoent most of this pregnancy travelling across town!

Glad you had a fab weekend Gill. Where next then??? You'll be off to France for a scrapweekend at the lady who does them over there soon LOL... I really want to go there as it looks gorgeous - right on a beach and perfect for taking the family as they can do what they want.....
Giselle - moving down the road... I chuckled at that. I bet you're finding excuses to walk past and nose through the curtains to work out where you'll be putting things! As for the scrap room... you know I need it more than you do... why not do a townie relocation swap thingy and I can have your nice new house and you can have my nice compact apartment (makes it sound better than 'tiny flat'), in Hastings..... Just think - golf up the road for hubby, Bohemian Scrapsody almost on your doorstep.... you'd never miss the new house LOL..

Sorry I have been a bit quiet on here lately. I have been diagnosed with Bells Palsy on the right side of my face and am feeling pretty grotty. It's not too severe so hopefully will clear up quickly.
Congratulations to Kitten and Mr Spotty Pants We want to see pictures as soon as possible.
Not long to go now Becky, hope you arent too uncomfortable.
Looking forward to the November crop, can't believe how far away it is still.

Go to your user CP, scroll down to "Edit Options" and follow the instructions for countdown tickers. Word of warning - you HAVE to enter the details exactly as per the instructions or it won't work!!

I hope you're ok Lucy - not sure what Bells Palsy is so am off to look it up! Nov should come round quickly.... I hope as I can't wait for the reunion. I just loved last Nov and am practising my Christmas carols already... think - strange silly squeaky voices and lots of tra la la la la, la la la la's.....
Hi ALi - I have my camera already packed in my hospital bag...
Giselle - you are welcome to clearout all scrappijng goodies from America in this direction LOL... you'd not want a cluttered scrap room now would you??? hee hee.... especially if you decide you don't want those gorgeous letters you had.... I can start a scrap sanctuary where you can send your unused scrap goodies and i'll re-home them all!
It's pouring down with freezing rain here... typical. Just in time for me to have to get drenched walking to collect Ben. Humph. Waddling in the rain is bad enough but in freezing rain is just unfair. Humph, humph, humph LOL...

Hi Giselle.......hope your weather is not heading in my direction......it is my DH birthday and my grandchildren are visiting today. Hello!
As Heals' (Mr Spotty Pants) big Four-O has been a bit eclipsed by current events, coupled with the fact that he has to go back to work actually on his birthday (but only 'til lunchtime!) I thought it would be great if all our fabulous NBS friends sent him cyber-greetings at work by tomorrow morning. His email address is healey.newson@thomsonlocal.com
Just a quick email would be fine, no prezzies necessary as, according to him, he's already had the best present ever in our new baby, William, born on the 1st. He is putting his celebrations on hold, probably (I think) because he's just too knackered to go out! I still think it would be nice to mark the occasion though, as he's proved to be a fantastic Daddy and incredible support for me, as ever!
(BTW; I'll delete this by tomorrow so he doesn't sneak in here and see it!)
Thanks everyone!
Hugs all round! :D
