OK, so I was being too literal. I drove 280 mile round trip to the NEC today, negiotated the hell out of the last remaining CR retailer (who didn't take credit cards, hence the sweet talking) got home, patiently waited until DD was in bed, set it up and followed Bev's tutorial too literally! I made sure that the paper was under the blade, but in doing so moved the carrier sheet out from under the second roller, sheet goes crazy, I flapped and turned the whole thing off, and deleted the print job before turning it back on. I reckon I must have either chipped the blade or got a dud one, coz I'm all raggedy and it's not even cutting through normal paper on a 30 depth, 7 speed, red tip with the ring doodad thingy.

Off to cry now :(

Do I need to contact graphtec or the retailer for a replacement blade? I didn't manage to cut one single thing out... *wahhhhhh*

I'm sorry :(
I would start with the retailer and if htey can't help give Graphtec a call - they are usually very helpful.

Have you tried cutting a couple of the templates to check if the blade is damaged?

I had a similar problem.I bought mine directly from Graphtec.I e-mailed and explained what I did and they offered to replace the blade free of charge.I would sweet talk your retailer again!LOL.
PS I am impressed with the aftersales service from Graphtec. As it happens for other reasons I didn't take them up on the offer but it is nice knowing they're on your side
