Hi fellow nutters. I think as its xmas we should get some mince pies, krispy kremes, and a bottle of wine each whilst we crop! I'd really like to see the kinda lo's we'd do under the influence of wine and the spirit of xmas. especially my mum, give her a glass of sparkling water and she'll get tipsy! Well i hope you are all well. looking forward to the next crop-only a few weeks away now!

mafswife
18-11-2005, 06:29 PM
Neither can I Lesley - unless I get hubby to drop me off and then I don't think the 4 of us + my stash will fit in the car, nor a big truck come to think of it!!!
Red & White wine sound good - but will check with Church we are ok to consume alcohol on their premises... might be worth adding now that Dec kit is a winter themed star book and quite detailed!!!!
ldnkiwiscrapper
18-11-2005, 08:46 PM
if the church hall has problems with alcohol...there is a pub over the road that we could pop over for one xmas drink at the end of the day??!
i'm well on the way with this months challenge.
mafswife
19-11-2005, 01:30 AM
I like the pub idea - only not sure about my daughter! Might get hubby to pick her up early!!
oh dam i wll have george with me. but some pubs do allow children, will have to ask some local people (gina, racheal, michelle???) to do some research all in the name of scrapmates of course.
did someone say pub ?!?!?
Not back yet - will be tomorrow morning
...and I'd like to retract the comment about the pub after last nights little detour !!!
mummygina
23-11-2005, 08:01 PM
OK-you've got me intriged! Where is Nicki?, and what is this about a pub and a detour? hmmmmm, sounds interesting!!
Hello Ladies
Got back from Singapore this morning
The detour was on my last night there and involved lots of alcohol
mummygina
24-11-2005, 10:37 AM
Wow Singapore-that sounds fantastic!!! I kinda had a feeling the detour you spoke about would be alcohol related. Lets just say the world pub gave it away LOL!! Hope you had a great time and took loadsa photos to scrap.
ldnkiwiscrapper
25-11-2005, 10:33 AM
oh nikki, i hope you're got photos to bring to the crop....i used to go to Singapore all the time as my father was a pilot in Brunei and we had to change planes, and generally have a few days in Singapore. would love to see what it looks like now.
i have uploaded my 1st challenge pic....got broadband back this morning!!. where do you want me to send it to for the website....if you still do that is?
of course we want it, can you send it to the scrapmates@hotmail.co.uk address please.
cant believe that we are all meeting up again a week on saturday, where does the days go????
mummygina
25-11-2005, 02:18 PM
Tell me about it. where do the years go? They fly by so fast-no wonder i feel and act like a 12 year old!! Is it nearly crop time already. I'm gonna smuggle in a some EMVA cream sherry in my drinks flask. purely in the interest of keeping warm of course!!
ldnkiwiscrapper
27-11-2005, 10:30 AM

scrapmates ladies....let me know if you got the email from me, with the challenge LO on it??
thanks!
mummygina
27-11-2005, 10:42 AM
Bazzill nut, i have been in the kitchen many times, but to be honest i cant recall if it has an oven in it! What with it being a kitchen though, surely it must have.
Mmmmm, sausage rolls-sounds lovely! Cant wait to get some actually lo's done-all i have been doing for the last 2 weeks are christmas cards and calendars to give to family as gifts, as well as my first ever journal (from scratch!!).
scrapmates ladies....let me know if you got the email from me, with the challenge LO on it??
thanks!
sorry rach, yes it was received safe and sound, thank you :D
Also i cant remember seeing an oven, either will ask ann and nikki.
ldnkiwiscrapper
27-11-2005, 05:39 PM
well, i could always cook them at home before i come, but we'd have to eat them cold. at this time of the year, warm would be nicer!!.
nikki says she is sure there is as there is a gas hob with 6 rings, so we assume there is an oven? you live local we could always send you home to cook them if there is not!
ldnkiwiscrapper
27-11-2005, 06:10 PM

mummygina
28-11-2005, 02:24 PM

Me knows this, though my shrink says there has been an improvement in my behaviour (please note, its a very, very slight improvement!).
Oh no, i have forgotten to get a yule log. I'll have to wait til hubby comes home and maybe i can pick one up then. I hope i dont eat it by tonight though

I'll give it a try Michelle, though there are no guarantees that i'll be able to resist the temptation! I LOVE yule logs!
Mind you, i've now asked hubby to try a pick one up on his way home, so i have a feeling i'll be bringing in something entirely different, if anything.you know what men are like LOL!!
Do I need to bringing any scrapping stuff or should I just stick with the serviettes ?

Sorry to disappoint you ally, but no he didnt. He couldnt find any apparently-flippin men! I had a go at him and said he should've gone to more shops until he found us some! I've had to sit him down and explain that when i say i need something (especially chocolate!), he must obey me!
Anyway, my dear sweet mother will try and locate some tomorrow so that we can try and satisfy our yule log cravings! As you are on a diet Ally, will it be a thin slice for you?
ldnkiwiscrapper
02-12-2005, 10:25 PM
i think we should just let her look and smell.....we wouldnt want to be responsible for her falling off the wagon so to speak, now would we??

ldnkiwiscrapper
02-12-2005, 10:30 PM
Ann, i just saw your post on the wizard/sizzix/other thing thread.....is it possible for you to bring it to the crop, or is it to big/precious(hehe) to bring?. i really want to buy a cutting tool and am puzzled by the choices!!!!.
As you are on a diet Ally, will it be a thin slice for you?
gina define a thin slice???????????? if it is anything like my thin slice it means cut the log into two
mummygina
02-12-2005, 11:02 PM
You know something ally, we are on the same wavelength, but mine is not to cut it at all LOL!!
mummygina
02-12-2005, 11:12 PM
