I'm pretty new to scrapbooking in general but a complete novice when it comes to digital scrapbooking! I have looked at the galleries though and I want to learn!!! Only thing I'm unsure about it how do you print things off afterwards? Would I have to invest in a bigger and better printer.. or could you get them printed in a shop or something perhaps??
Thanks for any help!!

Have you looked in the library section? There are usually 'how tos' on pretty much anything you've ever wanted to know about anything scrap-related!
I know that there are some fab online tutorials around - try running a search with digital tutorial in the search field, and see what conversations have taken place in the past about this on UKS. Also do the same on google, but maybe add scrapbooking to the search criteria
Good luck and have fun :)

Have to admit that I haven't printed off any of my digi layouts. You could get an 8 x 8 print for approximartely £2 from Photobox if you were happy to go for an 8 x 8. I don't know anywhere that does 12 x 12 but would imagine that it would be VERY expensive, and even more so to buy a printer that would print that size of print.

I create my layouts ready for 12x12s but then print them onto A4 photo paper selecting shrink to fit, when this is printed and trimmed it fits an 8x8 album perfectly. Great for Christmas Pressies too, you can produce more than one copy then.

I always create at 12 x 12 and 200 dpi (recommendation is 300 dpi but even with a new super duper computer it slows it down too much for me - besides I am more than happy with the print quality at 200 dpi).
I save at 12 x 12 and then copy & flatten my image and resize for print. I have 8 x 8 and 6 x 6 albums and it is amazing the quality of the pics - printed at home. I have also done quite a few smaller ones for paper bag books and they too turned out well.
I am bi-scrapual - digi and paper - and love both for different reasons - digi is the best when it comes to clearing up time!

And if you save them as jpg files you can make slideshows with your layouts which play on a TV! You can put background music on and make loads of copies as pressies! So far I've only done this with photos as I haven't done enough digi LOs to make a slideshow, but one day .....
There are a few different software packages to do this but I use Roxio for this and most of my photo stuff.
