I hope you all saw the post about the Countdown Graphics.

I realized the Announcements thread allows no replies so I thought I would add one here so I can get a vague idea of who (if anyone) might be interested in this.

Do let me know!

Mandy, Im presuming you dont need to add the clock, that is all added when the 'code' bit is set up by the user, we only need to design the 'background' to display the countdown clock on.

MaryAnne, I have a couple of questions - should they be gifs or jpgs? (or either?) and can they have animated decorative elements or do they need to be static? thanks :)

oooh and - is the colour of the text used to make the clock changeable to white so we can use a darker BG or must we assume text will be black?

This sounds like fun :) I'd certainly give it a try.

I guess I will need to ask Smax some of those questions to be sure. Yes, the animated countdown is in the programming and all you need to do is the background, but I'm not sure about dark backgrounds. I think either GIFs or JPGs are ok but I'll check.

I was thinking a deadline of 1 December for the samples with the final products all due by the end of December. I'll speak to Smax and see what time he needs to implement them and update the announcement.

Thanks Bridget
There isn't any actualy animation involved, just a background design then?...like Clare I would like to know if we can use animated elements too?

No, no animation as far as I am aware. This is on my "ask Smax" list!

They need to be JPG not GIF so no animation.

The text colours we can use can include white so a dark background is fine to use.

Oh, is the deadline today? I wanted to try but I have so much else demanding my attention as well it's hard to find 5 mins to indulge myself.
