Lesley - me too! In fact I thought I had cancelled the other month but I must have confused them so much at SBW cos when I rang to reinstate (cos yep I just love these papers too much) they had to ring back apparently there were so many crosses and amendments to my file they couldn't keep up with my ever changing mind!

I may just have a look at the weekly challenge again and try and get a quick one done, just to have a play!

End of the week or beginning next week I reckon, it is normally 10-14 days after the kits ship out in USA which is 15th of the month.

I can't get a good idea from the sample layouts on the site this month of what to expect really either. I have however been quite good and used some of the last couple of kits. Really need to use more. Sold one kit on too as I was getting really too much. It hurt to let it go but I had to be realistic!

I have been really good with mine and used quite a lot. I have copied a lot of the little cards recently. I started getting the kit in December and I was new to scrapping then and I just used to store them away but now I actually do use them and I dont feel quite so bad about getting a kit and just storing it in a box. I do think that Sweetwater is so good for the money tho. I just wish that you didnt get 3 sheets of each and they could give you 2 of each and a couple more papers instead. I get the general but keep thinking about changing to the grand, but with the embelishment pack that would make it £28 a month and seeing as im supposed to be moving house i really can justify it.

Sorry Ive rambled on a bit!!! Hopefully we will get it soon anyway!!!

Louise I know I tried the Express one month and I had to immediately upgrade to the Grand again - I just daren't risk the papers missing from the Express being the ones that I would most like!!!!! And I get the embellishments. Not actually used any of the embellishments yet but I'm sure I will ... sometime!!!

Debbie - SW is the only kit I get too and if I could buy it in the shops I'd probably do it that way, but because it is so hard to get hold of I keep on with the kits as I love the paper so much. Especially since it's got more girly and funky.

Suzanne that happened to me last time there was a paper used on the little idea card and i didnt have it, i just had to change it for a different one!! but it did make me think about getting the grand.

Yeah, I wish they didn't give 3 sheets of each design.... a bit too much imho! I've been good and have used the last couple of months papers so far! Can't sing much about their embellishments though!
You can get an idea about the papers for July kit if you go to the Sweetwater site.... based on what I see, not sure if it's my taste! Will see the papers IRL when I get the pizza box!

oh i got page markers in mine - you clip them onto your page and just use them like index flipper type things - you can put rub ons direct onto them or write in permanent marker :)

no kelly it was about 3 months ago - the extra bits included some fabric samples, the index tabs and something else which i cant remember :unsure: The fabric was cotton, towelling and like a poplin (sp??) type stuff....

Thanks for the comments. I have the Grand kit (used to have General) as the shipping costs are the same so works out better value for money - plus I was always looking at what my friend got extra in hers and wishing I had the grand!!!

I think that mine arrived today, but anyone with a teenager will now empathise with me....

My DS rang me at work to say the QVC man had come to collect the return package, but he thought he best check that that was the one I left in the kitchen... I said no it was upstairs, he said bye and would ring me later .... 2 mins later phone went again...Mum I have just gone after the courier as I have given him the wrong package, but he has just driven off down the road....TYPICAL - I've waited for my kit and now it is going to QVC in error, it could be weeks before it comes back.

Just as well I gave birth to him, because I am fighting an urge to murder the blighter.

I agree but I do like the additional 4 papers so much that I'm prepared to forgive. They are so yummy.

If that was my teenager I don't think I'd be here to tell you all the tale as the Police would have carted me off for murder. No one gets to mess with my kits but ME! My scrapping area is the spare room and when DD has guests and they sleep in there they get a pep talk on what they can and can't touch! Last time we had them all over I gave them tents in the garden well away from my stash.

I got mine this morning. Was pleasantly surprised as when I saw on the SW website it was month papers I tried to cancel but SBW wouldn't let me as it had already been ordered. Pleased that it is only 2 sheets per month and they are quite nice, just not sure if I can be organised enough to use month by month. I only used a couple of sheets of last years' month papers.

Debs I was pleased to get more of those wooden things, think they are lovely, but will get Len to put holes in some for ribbons like some from the last kit had.

SBW have messed up my order again though. NO EMBELLISHMENT KIT can you let me know what it consisted of so I can make my mind up whether to hassle SBW for it to be sent separately or not. Cheers.

If I am honest, I wouldn't be just as keen on this months kit, only because I haven't even touched the last kit that had the 'months' on it, but it IS nicer papers this time, and the bits and bobs with it are good, so might try to get this one used....
(come to think of it...... I have sweetwater kits coming outta my ears and although I LOVE them, I reckon I have only used papers from about two of them :o )
I won't cancel though because I do love them.

I phoned the shop last week to compalin that I had not received all the card etc in my kit. They promised to post it to me. I then phoned a week later to find it was still sitting on someone's desk. I have now cancelled the future kits as I am fed up with dealing with such a disorganised group. Best of luck everyone

I have the grand and usually get 3 sheets of 12 designs. On the other kit think you get 3 sheets of 8/9 designs (can't remember). Think this month we got the extra embellishments, things to do mini album etc to make up for less papers. My friend Katy did check with Sweetwater about the amount this month when emailing them for me when I moved house and we should have only got 2 sheets of each.

sheet of thick card (like mountboard)
12 x 5" square cards for the minibook
12 wooden disc thingys and the circle months on the card to put on them
green gingham ribbon
piece of card with the years and a couple of other things on it for the minibook

Mine was waiting for me after taking the kids to piccies this morning. Have to say a lot more impressed with it than I expected given the general Americal love of bright purple orange and green at this time of year! Lovely and grungy, really really like 8 out of the 12 papers, love the coloured twill and other embellies. Only thing gets my goat is the propensity for all the suggested layouts coming in at one photo per page. Really like to get more ideas for scrapping several photos per page. Might email Sweetwater about this!

I know I did the very same thing a couple of months ago - changed to Express, then back to Grand (I couldn't cope with not getting 4 out of the 12 papers it was generally the papers I loved most which were missing!) then cancelled then had second thoughts and reinstated! I have these papers coming out of my ears, but I have to say I have used papers out of almost every kit I have received so far (I even used one out of the kit I sold on!) it's just that with so many papers in the kits they are bound to pile up. Keep meaning to sort some out for selling on but .... well I guess I'm going to have to get the kids scrapbooking pretty soon so they can use what I don't!

Whats the difference between express and grand? I pay £14.99 per month so which one do I get? The big or the smaller one?

you get the Express. The Grand is - well was just going to say £22 but just checked my visa and they charged £27.99 which is the cost including the extra embellies from Scrapbook World but unless the coloured twill was the extra embellies (and hello for £5.99 I don't think so) I think I've been had :( must ring them tomorrow.

But The Grand should be £22, you get normally three sheets of each of 12 different papers (whereas you only get 8 out of the 12 normally in the Express) plus a few extra of the other bits that accompany the kit, say a transparency sheet, brads, more of the cardstock quotations and stuff. Sometimes the difference in value seems greater than others and we're usually asking on here to find out what the difference is each month!

Anyway, if anyone out there gets the £5.99 embellishment add on can you please let me know what I should have got so I have more ammo when I ring to complain! (also kicking myself for not checking previous months because they've left out the embellishments for a few months now).

the embellies I got were a Doodlebug grosgrain ribbon, a pack of Doodlebug 'Paper Posies' & a packet of Chatterbox Love Tiles - I think the twill was part of the main kit?
Have to say though that I get the Grande & it did seem a bit basic compared to some of the past kits? What was in the Express this time around?

Hmm okay well I rang earlier and they are popping the embellies in the post - not sure about the Chatterbox things, I have some in other kits I've had and never used them. Just googled and posies £1.50, love tiles £2.40, ribbon £1.75, totalling £5.65 so not particularly good value this month. Never mind.

the last collection was called autumn sweet and came with three wooden blocks and various coloured twills.

You both need to ring up for replacements, the papers are much nicer than I expected they would be for this time of year.

They don't exactly show the kit content but rather LOs of the different kit size. Go to their website and click on the Sweetwater Express Club and you can see the LOs which make use of the papers.

This kit is fab if it's Sweetwater style your after. If you are after a different brand of papers and variety etc each month have a look at the 'Monthly Kit' thread to get a feel of what others offer. There are UK and USA kits on there and I am sure all the UK kit sponsers would be more than happy to answer any questions to find the right kit for you:)

I thought the papers this year were actually a lot brighter than last year, but have to admit that last month's didn't really *do* anything for me (so Bronagh if you haven't paid for it I wouldn't worry about it you're not missing that much). This months some of the papers are nice. But this woman seems to have a thing for *plaid* there seems to be some in most kits and I HATE IT!!!!! lol. No, no out of the box layout card. And is it me or is everyone else totally uninspired by the layout cards?

Oh I agree, I hate the plaid ones.... and I am also starting to see very similar designs each month too with just different colours..... have had another look, and am not really 'fussed' on this months papers at all.......
I'm thinking I might take a break from this kit and try something else too....
I'd LOVE a chatterbox kit, similar to this kind of idea..... 2-3 of each papers and a few matching embellies... Debbie at Scrapmagic is organising new kits, which primarily are cardstock kits, and then you can request whatever you want added to it. I am going with the chatterbox Bazzill colours, Think that might be the way to go for me. I am coming down with sweetwater papers, and like someone else said, have used a few sheets only from each one.

Suzanne I emailed Sweetwater about the beyond the page card, they said it was the Tag project in the newsletter. And I think the LOs are as you said not as inspiring as they once were. But I have found a couple of sites which have lots of folks doing sweetwater Los and some of the ideas in their galleries are lovely and I've been going there rather than banking on the cards in the pack.

Thinking back it was about this same time that folks thought the kits were dull colours last year. Wonder if it is relative? You know autumn and xmas means we start using brighter papers and embellies as we get in the Xmas spirit and Sweetwaters stay about the same so they look duller compared to the other stuff we are using? Just a thought tossed in for discussion. (Please don't bite me!)
