I went to Hobbycraft today and bought some fabric and thick paper to make a handmade art journal.

Cover. It's a bit thin really, even doubled over. I recommend either demin or canvas. Something like that. The button is actually silver. I just have a cruddy camera LOL.

Inside I used blue paper and cord to sew the whole thing together. The cord was a bad idea and was a pain to do. Although I'm pleased with how it looks. I'm going to put some beads on the cording left over.
My hems are wonky, because I've not used a sewing machine in years, and I had to trim back the paper to "fit", but there it is. I will be making more of these - I want to make one as a gift as well, so this was a useful practice run.
