Hi all
I'm looking for advice on colouring stamped images. What's the best way to get a professional finish please ie so that the colour looks cohesive and you don't see the pencil marks? I'm getting not too bad results with my admittedly-cheap pencils, but only if I keep the pressure really light - and so I'm only getting light colours ..
:thanks: in advance for any help!

I love my Derwent watercolour pencils, but I also have some of the Inktense ones which give a much bolder colour. Both lay down smoothly without lines and once you brush over with water they should disappear anyway:)

I picked up a couple of free leaflets about using the different sorts of coloured pencils from Hobbycraft. They were produced by Derwent but the tips & techniques would obviously apply to all makes.
As these are promotional material, I would think any major art shop would also have them.
have a look at the Derwent website too

Hello - I have a couple of sets of pencils and use watercolour pencils for my stamped images.
Caran d'Ache and Faber-Castell which are very good quality and easy to use.
You will get a nice professional finish with them.
Use them lightly then watercolour them in with your waterbrush or Koi aqua brush for a soft finish.
Alternatively you can use Prisma colors with Sansador using a cotton bud or paper stumps which you can purchase from any good art shops.
Hope this helps
