Hi! Can any cardmakers help?

I am trying out stamping and embossing on acetate. Is there anything I can sweep over the acetate to remove static as there always seems to be some static speckles left around the image after I've heat embossed.

thanks! :thanks:

Hi Jennie, I use a anti static bag (http://www.cre8tiveonline.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1794). Actually I use it on everything that I emboss. People have be known to get the same results using a used tumble dryer sheet but I havn't tried that so cant comment. Also I dont know if your acetate is heat resistant, if it is forgive me for saying but cre8tive also sell some really nice heat resistant acetate (http://www.cre8tiveonline.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=4315)

Hope that helps ^_^

You can make you own anti static bags out of a piece from some old tights and talcum powder. I definitely prefer my little anti static bag, but it sometimes wanders off and loses itself under all my clutter  so I have to resort to the tights version. Like Natasha I find it great for all my heat embossing, and I sometimes use it too if I'm just stamping on slippery surfaces like acetate.
