Good evening all,

My name is Laura and I'm almost 28 years old, married to a wonderful man and live in Stoke on Trent.

I have been cardmaking for around three years, although before taking up cardmaking I made our own wedding stationery in 2004.

Around Christmas 2006, I began making bookatrix keepsake cards alongside my normal 5" x 7" greetings cards.

As you all know, no matter what we achieve we are always looking for something more, something more complex, something more impressive... this is why I have been looking into getting a Craft Robo as I have seen some stunning creations which have been achieved through this fantastic machine.

I was looking for some information regarding the Craft Robo on another forum and was pointed in this direction as I have been told there is some fantastic advice, creations and ideas here so I am looking forward to looking around the forum and getting some ideas, as well as getting to know fellow members.

In the meantime, I wonder if anyone can recommend the best (cheapest) place to buy a Craft Robo?

Thanks a lot,

Laura xx

Thanks Tina, I'm just finding my way around at the moment and I'm getting so excited at the thought of getting one!

I'm not sure if Santa an afford it this year but I usually get money from Dad and FIL for my birthday which is on 29th December in which case it'll definitely be going towards my Robo-fund ;)

Why dont you go for the lite robo is only £145.00 which is cheaper thank the robo 200 and the difference is you can't print and cut on it,

oooh, I didn't know that they did a cheaper version - I'll have to look into that, thanks.

Depending on funds I'd rather get the better one to begin with but I'll definitely look into it and see, thanks :D

They both cut the same and do the same except print and cut on the robo 200 But if you don't want to do that like decoupage then the lite will be fine and a good starting place for you.

Obviously it's your personal choice. Good luck

H Laura and welcome = well this is defo the right place to find out about the robo - lost of friendly people with a wealth of knowledge and ideas...

Unortunate we are not allowed to post info about suppliers other than those who are sponsers , but if you hve a google and make a list - when I bought mine I had a favorites folder and adde them to there to do a comparison..

WORDS OF WARNING and contingency planning

If you are really serious about purchasingrobbie then you need to start make some preperations

make sume extra meals everyday to put in freezer - hubby friendly so he will survive during your long periods of absence

get upto date with the cleaning ,washing and ironing (you wont be doing much when he arrives)

then when the day comes when he arrives make a substantial packed lunch and if possible take a few days off work

instruct the family not to disturb you for the next few weeks, days months

THEN JUST HAVE FUN and as tina says you wont reget it though the family might
:D
