I managed to send mine royal mail recorded for £9 as it wasn't as heavy as last years parcel. The one I sent last year would have cost over £20 to send RM so i sent it by courier but that company has stopped trading since.

I can't comment on the whole- but yesterday I had a DHL delivery. I bought a wheelchair at the weekend on ebay, they rang dhl to sort it and it was delivered yesterday, it cost me £15, and was quite big (ie not totally collapsed) and the guy brought it into the house for me (just had surgery so that was a massive help)
So I guess what I am saying is it may be worth getting a quote from them :)

I use Royal Mail and last year it cost me around £7 which was 2 14x14 pizza boxes crammed so I didn't think that was bad...plus better the devil you know then the devil you don't iykwim ;)

I would recommend parcel2go. They said it would be 2 to 3 days for standard delivery but it got there the next day by DHL. & they collect from your house. Cost me about £8 but includes insure for £50.

Mine was £12.72 recorded delivery etc.etc.... and it weighed just over 5kg. I didn't think that was bad.
