The parcel I was waiting for (containing my christmas day pressie) seems to have gone missing. Apparently it was despatched on the 12th. I've not had a card from the postie and when I went to the sorting office to pick up another parcel they had a look and couldn't find it :( Guess I'll have to go buy something else instead. Wouldn't mind if it was only that but there was a paper collection pack in there too (my xmas pressie to my self) so not a cheap parcel to have disappear

kron i dont know, i just seem to be getting worse. First it was a pain in my leg/hip then a urine infection and now i have a chest infection on top of that, i cant go out in the cold as it just hurts my throat to much, i have had an xray of my hip aswell but also have to go for an MRI!!

Toni i haope you start feeling a litle better hun when you do have a urine infection it does sometimes result into a chest infection ...... but i do hope you get better as its horrid weather and makes you feel worse with the infections aswell..

Well hopefully i will be able to start my wrapping etc today we are now leaving the inlaws even though i dont want to leave lol life is so much better up here we use to live in shropshire and so so miss it :(

Look after your self Toni - DH has been in bed all weekend with aching limbs, stomach, bad head, tight chest.... sounds like flu but as he had his heart attack 2 years ago he had a flu jab - maybe it wont come out as full blown flu.
I had a friend to stay - we had to cancel a meal out as couldnt leave dd on her own - but we got to the theatre to see West Side Story, which was totally brilliant!! This morning, dh was still in bed, so BF, DD and I went ten pin bowling and out for an early lunch, and noe bf has gone home!

Mrs Claus will be popping down to the post office tomorrow with your parcel, which will be coming by Royal Mail. Let's just say it won't fit through your letter box, and the elves I sent to do a chimney survey have been late reporting back. So I'd keep an eye out for the postie if I were you.

One of the elves has asked me to apologise on his behalf because he made a right pig's ear of wrapping parcel 22! That's what you get when you take on staff on the elf training scheme, I guess. But hope you like what's inside. Mrs Claus liked that one so much she made me get one for her as well.

I'll be keeping an eye out to see when it's arrived.

Didnt you want gluesticks and sequins then? Oh dear, the elves must have muddled up your list with some-one elses...oh dear....it was really hard finding different sizes and shapes of gluesticks, though at least sequins come in different colours....pale pink your favourite I think you said, so got plenty of those.

Ho ho ho, well I am slowly but surely being dragged into this 21st Century lark. I am snowed under with work at the moment, so delegated the parcel packing and despatching to one of my new elves this morning. Well you know the saying if you want a job doing right do it yourself? Well a truer word was never said in jest!

To start with having told me that everything was in your box and ready for sending, I had a quick scout at his workdesk and found 4 items still on the back of his desk, I was not amused I tell you, but he muttered something about not putting human presents in the same package as animal ones, something to do with cross-contamination or some other rubbish.

So I gave him another chance and said to redeem himself he could deliver the box (which is now a box and a small package!) personally to yourself and that he could take Rudolf for a run whilst he was at it. Well can you imagine the cheek of the elf? He came back with a receipt for an arm and a leg for delivery by something called PARCELFORCE for the large box and ordinary post for the 2nd package. He then concocted some story about running into the chap at the weighbridge who informed him that Rudolf was overloaded, so he needed to return to the depot. The elf then told me he used his initiative by going to the post office, apparently he had been talking to a chap in the pub the night before who had recommended it.
Apparently Parcelforce is guaranteed within 4 working days, so should be with you no later than Friday.

Now I have the job of taking Rudolf out myself for his run, another job to add to the neverending list :wacko:

In his defence, he has marked both packages with a notice to say "PLEASE KNOCK LOUDLY"

Please let me know when it arrives, as I will worry until it does, oh dear more grey hairs!

Thank you Santa :wub: My two parcels arrived today. I left a note on the door asking him to deliver them to my neighbours. Asked my neighbour when I saw her if that was ok, she said yes as she usually gets home before he comes. As she was driving through the village she saw him so stopped him to ask if he had tried to deliver it! But he hadn't been down our street yet, so she told him he must bring it to her as I was waiting for it!

She then phoned me at work to tell me they had arrived!
She didn't have to sign for them though and there were no stickers on requesting a signature.

Have just opened the two parcels to make sure everything was intact as the biggest parcel had a tear in the paper and the other was bent at the ends, but everything seems to be ok.

They look really good, can I open them all now?????????

One more question, when do I open the card, and I saw your note re the numbers but is there one present in particular for the 25th?

I was sure that I placed the parcel for the 25th on the bottom of the box. I wrapped a length of bright red beads around it (the kind you can put on a tree).

I've had a look in my room where I put all your things and its not there or in the box with all my gift wrap.

I'll buy something else and get it in the post. Very strange.

Clair there are one or two little things that you could have now in the box on the top :) they are not wrapped, there is a letter for you to read, and 2 other things :)
