I've discovered I can make loads of glitter shapes using cheap glitter glue and acrylic shapes.
I used Glitz glitter glue to thickly coat an acrylic star and heart. Leave to dry overnight then gently flex the acrylic shape and the glue coating will lift off. I've then used a little PVA to coat the back of the glue shape and apply to a page. They look fab and you could make loads of the same shape in any colour to match your LOs and even better unlimited glitter alphas, no more running out of vowels.

Lovely if you could add a photo of one - I'd love to see them on a layout :)

I've just completed a mini book and here's one of the pages with a glitter star made with this technique. Sorry for the photo quality but at least the star looks good.

Does this work with other brands of glitter glue, like Stickles. Sounds fab, though. Maybe I'll just give it a shot!

I don't know if this will work, but the kids did something similar at school using cling film. I was thinking if you had a shape that was card or chipboard you could tape it down with low tack tape to stop it moving, then stretch the cling film over it eg put the shape on a flat dish put the cling over and then trace the shape with the glue or what about using a sharpie to trace a shape on thin acetate to make your own shapes that you could use again.

I think my alphabet and shapes are from the Heidi Swapp Ghost range. I can't say what other glues this will work with this as I've only tried it with the Glitz glue.

I tried this last night and my shapes turned out fab and just came right off the acetate shapes. Can't wait to do the alphabet now. Thank you so much. Great technique.

I'm so glad it worked for someone else as I just thought it was too easy for it not to have been mentioned before.

You have got me addicted now!! I coated a 12x12 sheet of acetate and it came off fantastically... I did leave it for a couple of days to dry out ... then used punches and cuttlebug dies to cut shapes. Not tried embossing with it yet .... how cool would it be in black glitter and a spiders web die...

Thank you once again.. :-)

I've been busy finishing off my wedding album and used this technique to make a title tag on a layout.
I'm afraid it's led to a bit of a glitter glue addiction...as if there wasn't one already.

forgot to come back and say---stickles work fine too---but i still might invest in some cheaper glitter glues tho--or the shapes could work out expensive
