Hi this is my forst advent swap, so im sorry if i do dissapoint(trying my best not to though!!) Just wondering, do we wrap every pressie individually then post in a box? do you all decorate your boxes?


Hi Clairbear, good to see you. I'm sure you're not going to disappoint your swappee. You should wrap each present individually and put the date on 1 - 25 on, then put them all in a box (I do decorate mine) and post towards the end of November, I think the last posting date is on the first post of this thread. Hope this helps.

Ruth, I know it's easier said than done, because I worry over everything, and if I have nothing to worry about, I worry that there is something I should be worrying about! lol but do try not to let it get to you, it's supposed to be enjoyable, and at the end of the day as long as you have done your homework,there shouldn't be any problems!

You're not being daft. If you look at the poll result, click on the number of people who have voted and it comes up with the names of eveyone.

go to the poll results page and then click on one of the numbers at the side of the answers. it will fetch a page up with everyone who has answered each answer. hope that makes sense!

How is everyone today the weather here is poopy im still in my jim jams hee hee i am allowed on a sunday though as we arent doing anything and i like to relax... but i should get ready really shouldnt i ! I feel lazy now hee hee oh is still in bed we had a very late night last night stayed up watching sillyness on tv we sometimes do that and its great snuggled up on the sofa just me and him... we also get to have nice long chats that way about important things which is nice aswell....

I haven't been crafting today. I've been doing a 460ft zip wire across the football pitch at Hillsborough (Sheff Wed ground) to raise money for Marie Curie. Fantastic fun!!!!

Santa I have answered your questions.....To be honest I am quite easy to please, Im sure that what ever I recieve I will use at some point if not straight away. Plus Its just nice to recieve something. DH ususally joins in with the fun and I have to wait till he is home each day so he can try and guess what it is before I open it.

Nope & I don't think there's any chance of replacing it (it was 2nd hand from a friend when dh built her new one for her & as we're techies we know it really is broken!) so will have to go back to the old days of fighting the kids for the pc :(

How''s everyone getting on? I'm struggling a bit, in some ways my swappee is easy "I like everything" but in some ways that makes it hard - will she *really* love what I send?

I have my non-scrappy bits sorted, but am struggling a teeny bit on the scrappy things, esp the Christmas day one 'cos I haven't worked out yet what she's drooling over :)

I'm pretty much there with my gifts, just a few more to get. I'm going to start wrapping them today so I can get clear in my head where I have gaps in my Swappee's L&Ds.

I know what you mean Woozle about it being difficult when your swappee likes everything. I find it difficult putting stuff down that I don't like 'cos I do like everything scrappy! The only thing I have real trouble with is fibres and those herma rollers! Ribbons I can manage, but I never know how to attach fibres and they look messy when I put them on my work and herma rollers just skid across the page! Maybe it's me :rolleyes:.

its fab, i love my craft/study room, i am in it all the time :) it is fab having so much space aswell............one problem, there is a segregated area at the bottom of the gardens on the road we live in, it has been raining the last few days and it has become aparant that the segregated area is a bog!!! the bottom half of our garden is a little wet needless to say :lol:

If it's under 2Kg it's £4.20, but over 2Kg it goes up to £6.85. Obviously the heavier it is the more expensive. My parcel is just over 2Kg so I may swap something to get it under.

I'm just struggling for the main present - my swappee has been pretty vague in her messages so everything's a bit generic at the moment & I don't think I'm going to manage to "wow" her :( Oh well, if she'd actually stated something like "I love Basic Grey's new Wassail range" she may have been lucky ;)

I am now off for a logistics meeting with the reindeer about how to deliver all those shoeboxes full of goodies for those poor children in Eastern Europe and Africa who dont even have soap let alone bling and fancy paper!!

And last night I discovered that in Malawi, they keep wrapping off things like newspaper etc to use to teach children to read.

I have asked an experienced host and she advises that courier or Royal Mail recorded delivery is fine. As long as you have written proof of posting incase something goes astray. Hope that clarifies some of the earlier conversations
