I don't make mini-books, star books, altered items, etc myself, but it's nice to receive something someone else has made.

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I voted not to receive handmade items. Much as I love the thought and work that goes into them, I don't really use mini books much. I suppose hand-made embellishments would be OK, if they fitted in with my likes and dislikes, and something like an altered notebook would be lovely. But I'd hate someone to spend loads of time and effort making something I wouldn't use :(

handmade embellishments sound nice, I don't have 'real' photos only digital ones and no colour ink, so anything with space for piccies would be no use to me, plus I only have photos of my cat! So, unless santa wanted a load of digital photos of Molly to create something with (I would love that!) then I think no to most handmade items, unless Santa is an avid knitter, I love knitted things especially hand knitted socks :)

I'm another who doesn't wish to sound ungrateful but I voted not to receive handmade items. I hate to get things that people have put so much time and effort into & have it end up in a heap, the bin or whatever.
I do appreciate other people's work but I never know what to do with stuff I receive. I don't like ornaments/exploding boxes/decorated birdhouses etc - I don't have room to put "stuff" out and if I do find somewhere they catch dust & add to the clutter! I am not into ATCs either - again I don't know what to "do" with them - I prefer useful stuff ...
I really dislike paper bag books and I don't use minibooks much (I don't know what to put in them!) & I have a BIA to make my own notebooks etc (useful for guides!) I'd be happy to chat with Santa about non-scrapping handmade stuff like knitted socks or something ...

I would love handmade embellies, especially anything crocheted or knitted as that's 2 things I can't do at all.

I love handmade stuff, especially if they are in the fashion of my fave papers, like basic grey or cosmo cricket (that style - doesn't have to be those specific papers). I did say no embellishments, but that's because I don't use that many.

thats a toughie isnt it - I identify with a lot of what folk are saying - whilst it is nice tor eceive anything handmade I wouldnt want it to be sitting in a cupboard gathering dust - it may not go with my piccies and I have a bia so a minibook would be out - anything for my desk in work would be lovely a pretty notepad with ribbons etc or pen holder and Katie M I know what you are saying about Cosmo Cricket or Basic Grey style - am lving it!

I'd love to receive some crochet flowers in bright colours as I can't make them at all!

Otherwise I'd prefer to receive a kit for say a minibook (but on the large size of mini, large playing card size as a minimum)/ exploding box/ star book than the completed form as them I can amend and add my own bits to it. I have BIA so make up my own books already, I like the making process so far more likely to use it if I've made it up rather than just given...

Similarly I make cards so you could make up a kit for that with all the components; just be aware to make it contemporary and err more on possible male tastes or oriental! (and no sport ... I'm friends with males who don't do golf, footie, snooker). I don't do cutesy/ old fashioned.

No dust catchers ... I just don't have room for them. Same for the embellishments, I don't embellish my LOs that much and think I would be hard to please with something!

I Like handmade things and have pretty much ticked everything except handmade embelishments because although I usually like them, I really battle to use that sort of thing on a layout. I am not really into ACT's or those microscope slide things.
