View Full Version : Free 1881 census on the IGI

Sorry if this is old news, but the 1881 has been transcribed onto the IGI site and is free to access.
I have found it very useful, particularly the "next" and "previous" household. I have clicked up and down a street and found relatives living almost next-door to each other! The street names & numbers are clearer than on A*ry, in my opinion.

Yes, its been on IGI for quite a while.... IGI are Preparing for the Other census to be made available too. They havent started yet tho transcribing any as yet tho :(

Sorry, not techie enough for a link, but if you go to www.familysearch.org and then chose Advanced Search you will see that one of the options on the left is for Census.
