View Full Version : ** September Card Challenge!! **

This month's challenge is to....

Make a card featuring stitching, fabric, or buttons!

The stitching effect could be from actually sewing on your card, using stamps, paper with a stitched pattern or even drawing it.

Fabric includes felt flowers and embellishments - hint, hint!

And who doesn't have a stash of buttons somewhere??

So get your thinking caps on - and if you combine all three you'll get a gold star! ;)

If at the end of the month there have been 10 or more cards posted here in this thread, then one lucky person will be chosen as a 'winner' and will receive a little goodie through the post courtesy of Leo (CraftyPrincess).

I love to use ribbon, buttons and stitching on my cards, here is mine. I cut a round shaped card and covered with Basic Grey Stella Ruby paper. I then cut out a bird shape from cordinations card which was then embossed and sanded. Finishing touch was stitched ribbon, circle of felt and lots of buttons :)

I've got a picture of this months prize done. The challenge theme this month is using fabric, buttons and stitching so I bounced off that and picked out some Fancy Pants 'Simplicity' patterned papers, (they're based on the Simplicity sewing patterns and vintage fabrics) some fabric strips and cotton/lace trims, ribbons including a cute American Crafts dotty one and some chunky ric rac, lots of buttons with some beads too and some threads to sew them on your cards. I've also added in a bit of the Bazzill dotty cardstock and some kraft cardstock because they matched the papers and there's some 6x6 card blanks and envelopes too. :)

Wow, great cards everyone so far :D And really amazing prize too.

Here's my card. I'm hoping that santa brings me a sewing machine, so for the moment it's only got faux stiching, but also managed fabric and buttons! (It's also not usually the type of card I would make, but was enjoying using the supplies from a US kit!)

This forum is nothing to do with me, it is Mystik Nats domain. I just want to make all the card makers that sit indoors in the CR forum aware this is here :D and what they might be missing out on.
