I'll be making double sure to hang on to my stash this time - I lost a paperholder I'd taken to hold 12 x 12 papers, luckily there wasn't a huge amount in it at the time, but it was still horrible to think someone had lifted it from between my feet (I was watching a demo and had to shuffle along when someone pushed in)

gosh Eileen how awful. I always presume that we are all honest folk. United in craft and not likely to do that to each other. How horrible. I'm going on the saturday and will be a lot more careful than I usually am.

I'm doing a class, assuming I'm well enough to go by then, but can't remember which one  I think it's the Hobbyhorse crafts one because it says there's a voucher for their stall (which is always good, best for Bazzill at the show) and I'm thinking about buying myself a Cricut as a late 50th prezzie to myself!!

I may ring Craftwork Cards to see if they know!

I'll definitely be moseying round to the Clever Cuts stall - unlike some of the stamp stall, which I've learnt to give a miss!

KJJC

nah the car is 2 mins away. However we always take ours in as it's not a huge room. there is a restaurant with a good choice and plenty of food if you don't want to make and carry. The prices are ok too.

Hi Ladies

I am going tomorrow and doing the Banana frog class, just seen the sneak peak and it is very colourful, just what you need on a cold September morning.

I was wondering about whether we need to take some tools but a very kind lady pointed out that there are usually some to share but might take a few bits anyway.

See you there.

It was the Art of Craft stall... must admit that is the stall I spent most of my pennies at... got the £1 items, thickers, alpha's & rub-on's, Papermania Alpha's, Basic Grey Buckles £1 and Fiskars Blades most expensive at £3.49:lol:... around £25 for all that:)

I didn't find the thickers, but did do a major bit of spending - a Cricut Expression! This was planned, and is my birthday (50th) present to myself, and I've thought long and hard about it, and now it's mine! Apart from that and some stamps and a bit of (specifically needed) Bazill I was pretty restrained. I was totally wrecked after 2 hours - and the first hour was sitting down at a class! I obviously need to get back into training, the convalescence business is a pain. I've never been home by lunchtime before, and could barely drag myself to the car (TBF the Cricut is fairly heavy!)

Hi All

I went this morning and had a fabulous time. I did the Banana Frog class which turned out to be a gorgeous mini book, it's alot bigger than I was expecting and the kit was amazing, 3 12 x 12 sheets double sided patterend cardstock, 3 12 x 12 sheets bazzill, sticky ribbon, die cuts, ribbons, brads, book rings etc and a set of Banana Frog clear rubber stamps - alphas, numbers and exclimation marks etc in a lovely clear plastic case, the stamps alone were retailing at more than the cost of the class so I was totally blown away. The muffin and orange juice made a lovely breakfast too.

I didn't go too mad at the shops, I was very reserved for once and reached my limit and stuck to it until I saw the Boo bear dies in one of the shops on the way out and added another £21 on top of my agreed spending limit but as my family love teddy bears I think I will get alot of use out of the dies so worth it and what hubby doesn't know about can't hurt him!!!! Right, off to play with Boo.

Missed the classes and quite envious Lesley -- have done a Bf class before and that was great value too.

Eileen hope you love playing with your cricut - we got one at the last show.

I was quite restrained but do seem to have a few bags.... have already painted my wooden sleigh from AFTH -- its to go with the house I did at a class a few weeks ago and is fab (go look at her workshops). Got a few stamps, some sakuras, papers, some stamp blocks from crafters companion that i am told are good, lots of cards and and bits from craftwork cards, envelopes and a few bits and bobs...

Crafty Kacy
21-09-2008, 09:13 PM
I had a fab time, did a great class from Art from the Heart (although I would have loved to do Banana Frog or Craftwork Cards' classes as well, having seen them IRL). Spent a fair bit at Craftwork Cards, their design boards are so inspiring. Also at Banana Frog, Sir Stampalot, AFTH and some bits from other places. Definitely worth going and I'll be back next year. I was very tired by the end of it though, who would have though spending money took it out of you so much ;):P

Kron

I only went for a "quick" look - had about 30 mins to spare - spent money at Banana Frog, Art from the Heart, Lavinia Stamps and Craftwork Cards.
