OK the idea of this one is that you can use it either as a smaller frame, to cut from an A4 sheet OR you can use the half frame and cut two (cut one, then flip and cut another - if you don't flip and are using textured cardstock be sure you deal with that by positioning the paper correctly, one texture up on the mat,one texture down!) then cover most of a 12x12 sheet. Does that make sense?

It cuts fine for me, I'll add the .jpg from the other machine in a moment.
Font: Floriat (I used the upper case ABCD) Ornamental frame

I hope you don't get tired of frames. I love to do them and I have so many ideas to try.
These frames looks a little bit like the kitchen tiles from the 70's I think. Be careful when lifting it off the carrier sheet.

This is the frame I made when I was writing the tutorial for "Making laced frames" which I uploaded at the chat forum. I prefer to work in AutoCAD but this frame is made entirely in Robo Master.

Here is a couple of frames I made about a week ago. As usual you can choose if you want to cut them as frames or mats. Just untick the red lines in the cut menu if you want to cut them as mats.

Here's my last frame example:

* Made in Illustrator, converted to GSD in RM4.4.
* Element used from Floralia dingbat, letter f (altered quite a bit!).
* I have added a mat, and another slightly different version of the frame, but with only the outer bit. I thought it might make a more interesting frame.

Enjoy!

There are some lovely templates on here now - thank you everyone!

This is my 2nd entry for the challenge and is actually part of another template which has been converted to make a frame. I shall post the main template as soon as I've converted it.

Hello all, this is my first frame. I used Monica/Silene's tutorial for Robomaster. I hope it will be of use to someone. I would just like to say thank you for all the lovely files you all share.

Ann

Sorry I put this in wrong place it should have gone into June Challenge

More fantastic frames added since I last looked, thanks to everyone for sharing them. :thanks:

I wanted my entry to look like a moulded picture frame that I hoped would be useful on LO’s. I have used about 2 dozen concentric squares drawn with metallic gel pens on white card to try and achieve this effect. I’m pleased with the result, as it looks quite effective ‘in the flesh’.

:comp: The grey lines on the template should be drawn first with a gel pen, and the black lines are cutlines. :comp:

The photo I have used is of an unnamed ancestor, so if anyone recognises her – that would be a huge bonus. ROFL.

I designed this cutwork bracket frame in Inkscape and hand traced it in RM 2.4 for a quicker cut.

At last, what should have been easy, turned out a nightmare, this is not my original frame, after having trouble getting it to cut good, I asked for advice, and before I could complete it, my bloomin' laptop chucked it, I think the hard drive has broke. So this was one I done while having all the trouble with the other one, but I luckily done this on the main computer.

the shapes font is WINGDINGS 2, the words font is just a plain font that I traced over with the Closed Spline tool, because I didn't have a stencil type font installed, which means of course, you could tweak it to suit yourself, and the letter o is just the letter c rotated:lol:
It cuts no bother, I will either add a photo here of it, or, it will go into my gallery.

Since this is the last day of the challenge, here is the file that cuts very very slow, I hadn't realised I had kept it on the main computer, but I thought this morning, that I may as well share it, you never know, maybe some one will want to play with it.
The font is a problem, I think it is bel........something.........93 or 73 the problem is the font is on the laptop, which of course I now can't use, sorry about that, the other shapes are all dingbats, which was as above.
It make me wonder, if I am going to design on a laptop, I should save it on the main pc as well.
Anyway the font and dings have all been worked on, so you won't need to have them installed.

Thank you Winnie, for a challenge that I got my teeth into and persevered with, it was one I particularly enjoyed playing with, even though, it was driving me up the wall.

Another one this took seconds to make. I picked a leaf shape I liked resized it really big then used it to cut out a leaf shape from the previous template (like we do in the lattice tutorial) made a frame from a duplicate of the first leaf and welded one to the other.

I saw some mats like the flower one on create and craft, won't mention the person showing them as I don't think it is allowed, anyway I saw them and they were quite pricy for what you get so I decided to play around and do my own.The snowflake mat is my own idea as I needed a nice mat to showcase one of Silenes fabulous snowflakes.

Apologies for the image, obviously gold & silver mirri card and a scanner don't mix
As you see, the different sections of the mat can have different colour paper/card behind them so great for using those little bits I tend to hoard as they are too pretty to throw away :D

BTW, use quite thin card otherwise the small pieces won't come out without tearing the mat and don't cut them too small, I made mine to fit 135 x 135 mm square cards.
