Hello,

Living on the IOM we do not have a huge choice & most of our craft shopping is done via the net. I run a small Craft Club & we are considering going to a UK fair next year, but which one?

Can anyone reccommend a really good one, with lots of choice & decent, reasonably priced accommodation near by. Preferabley within easy reach of an airport or Liverpool or Heysham docks.

Your advice would be appreciated.

Thanks one & all,
lilli

I'm sure lots of people have different opinions - but I like Ally Pally which is September and April and that is London - will see if I can find you a link!

I've not been personally but there is the Make It fair in Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. Bolton isn't far from Liverpool and the Reebok Stadium is litterally just off the motorway junction so very easy to get to.

I wanted to go last year but sadly had to miss it. The website (http://www.make-it.org.uk/) for last years fair is still up and running if you wanted to see what it'd probably be like. From what I understand it's held every May although someone might be able to help you better on that one.

For variety of crafts NEC November but if it is purely for scrapping then Ally Pally, but the Make it Shows are also favourites of mine

Got to be Ally Pally. I found the NEC far too cramped and not lots of decent stuff only a few decent stalls. Would'nt rush back in a hurry......now Ally Pally I've been twice a year for the past 3 years and get excited about going each time......big kid in a candy shop comes to mind!!!!! Janina

Thank you for your tips, you lucky people! Wish we had this sort of choice on the Island.

Right now it's research time - then I'll tke the infor & advice to the girls & see what's decided, must say, I like the sound of Ally Pally as you all seem to like it & if it's drawn you back soooo many times! Though many of the girls are in to lots of other crafts too, so we'll see.

Will post up when a decision is made.

Thanks again everyone.
