This is for the sharing of work only. No SU! promotion will be allowed. If you want to PM someone for more info, do so. If the sponsors that sell SU want to respond to a post asking for info they may do so - no consultant who is not a sponsor may post, may say "I've PMed you" may say "PM me"

No listing of SU specific supplies.

I think I explain a bit better why this is the way it is here. (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?p=5068703#post5068703)

So can no-one even give the name of a stamp set ?? :o

MaryAnne
17-06-2008, 06:15 PM
See, I knew I wasn't being clear :)

Yes, by all means mention the stamps - even by name! and feel free to say "Circle Punch" or "flower punch" just not "SU Spring flower punch item # 332" if you know what I mean.

Thank you MA for explaining what we can and cannot say on this thread. I hope you guys will still post your creations using SU stash on here, I am sharing one of my latest cards made for my sweet sister.

no consultant who is not a sponsor may post, may say "I've PMed you" may say "PM me"

So does that mean I can't post my cards on this thread? What about in the gallery? Should I remove anything that has SU in it? Don't want to be breaking any rules...thanks MaryAnne

ETA - Gorgeous card Monica - love those colours together.

Elin
20-06-2008, 05:42 PM
Maggie you can post your cards and do like Monica has done - say 'scallop punch' ect.

We are allowed to say anything we want about manufacturers as they in general aren't retailers so we can buy the stuff from many places. With SU they are also retailers holding the sole selling rights so by saying the stuff is from them we are advertising it - and they're not paying the sponsorship fees. It would be much easier if they could be persuaded to sponsor the site:wacko:

Inspired by cards on SCS and a download from UStamp, I made a 'boxed' set of cards yesterday for someone on UKS so can't post a picci yet, but made another set this afternoon...

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/dawnwicks/DoodleThisPurpleset.jpg

The Box
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/dawnwicks/DoodleThisPurpleBox.jpg

Two of each of the following cards
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/dawnwicks/DoodleThisPurple1.jpg

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/dawnwicks/DoodleThisPurple2.jpg

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/dawnwicks/DoodleThisPurple3.jpg

Used SU 'Doodle This' stamp, water coloured with pens and pencils trying to get the right combo. Most card stock was already in the cupboard (Bazzil), Patterned paper 'Pocket Full of Posies' (DCWV), 1/4" circle punch, 3/8" circle punch, Scallop Circle Punch, eyelet punch, ribbon & coloured self adhesive gems.

Gorgeous card Dawn

I saw the idea of using the round punch tab to make little handbags on someone's US blog a while ago (but unfortunately can't remember the name to give credit :( ) However when my new Totally Tabs set arrived I thought they were just perfect for making these little bags.

Hi Dawn

It was made with tempting Turquise and Ruby Red. The butterfly paper is by Jennie Bowlin (I think)

Glad you like it - it is a combination I am loving at the moment and am doing Shemelle's Learn Somthing New Every Day album in the same combination.

These are some bookmarks made by my children. top - ds1 (7), middle ds2 (6) and bottom is dd (2). All right, I helped with dd bookmark, but the stamping is all hers. She also did the stamping on the back of the bookmark too. Not bad for a 2yr old, and she really enjoyed it too.

I love the bat - how did you fold him?

Gadget Monkey
25-10-2008, 09:33 PM
He is a scallop square, fold in half diagonally, then cut slightly down each side and bend the top corners of the cut bit backwards to form the ears... If you can look at him and imagine his ears unbent, this might help....

Sharon Betts
25-10-2008, 09:36 PM
Oh yes, now that you say fold in half I can see it - very clever. Sorry, should have said the whole thing looks good, but was very taken by the bat and got carried away:P:lol:.

Evening all, fab makes everyone. Havent been around for ages as I have been having a mental block when it comes to anything crafty especially card making. Anyways I finally cracked it tonight and I have designed my 2008 christmas card. I hope you like him  approx 48 more to make

Jo... Love those cards and the colour scheme is great too!

Linda... absolutely love the little bat and what a fantastic little gift idea too!

Natasha... the card is simply gorgeous!
I know what you mean about a mental crafting block as i'm having one at the moment but I think I know why... I have to make a whole heap of different Christmas Cards for a Sheltered Housing Complex and they have complained about other cardmakers in the past charging £2 etc for a card so trying to make cards that I can charge less for but it's sent my Mojo running:lol:

Sharon Betts
26-10-2008, 10:58 PM
Linda, I'm addicted to making the little critters now. And some of them are popping up around my house. Doing crafts for toddlers tomorrow, spooky woods - basically some sticks stuck to black card with googly eyes and a moon. Now they will have bats too - I've been happily cutting and folding this afternoon and have a small colony of bats waiting to be plastered with pva, be given some eyes and set loose in the spooky woods! I will take some photos tomorrow in daylight. However, no square scallop punch, but seems to work with the round one just as well.
So a big :thanks: for sharing that one.

Here is the card I have made for the challenge (see Jo's post above)

http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/picture.php?albumid=1124&pictureid=9221

The colours aren't at all how they are in real life.... stamps used are from the True Friend set, card stock used is Naturals ivory (for the base), close to cocoa for the band, and scallops are c to c again + barely banana, flower is coloured with SU! markers & chocolate chip ribbon.... oh, and the words are from the Best Yet hostess set.

Thanks for looking
Tara

Lovely card Tara, but you are right about the colours not being right, the close to cocoa looks lilac.... but great anyway...

If I can tweak it I will, I took piccies with my camera as I was rushing out the door this morning and the flash made it look really bright! Then when I got to work a colleague took this picture (above) and it looks completely wrong! If my version at home looks better then I'll re-upload... it's bizarre how much difference the light makes!

Ohhh I wish you would all stop posting cards with all those lush bloom stamps ;) my wish list is growing by the day  Keep up the good work though they are all fab. I especially like yours gadget with all the scollops and mumoftwins that card looks lovely, very fresh and simple :).

well I have finally found some mojo, and I have made another card, better than that uterlly pants christmas card (see my blog for reasons why etc), I cant believe I post so much rubbish on this great thread. Anyways hope this makes up for it. I must say though I used a sketch, so none of it is my own work. But hey at least I am making cards again ^_^
