Dear Smax

Tina from the Robo forum told me to get in touch with you in case you can help me.

I am having problems uploading pictures to my gallery. I go through all the stages pick my gallery, browse find file, open file. then type description and go to upload. It then starts off as if it is uploading, but just carries on and on and nothing is happening.

My Internet provider is Virgin Media and I have AVG virus and spyware protecter and email scanner.

I really don't know if you can help but I do hope so.

Sorry forgot to say that I sent the file to Tina and it uploaded straight away for her. So the size is not a question here.

It is probably some sort of firewall blocking it. Check your security settings are not set too high.

Are you using Safari?? After one of the automatic upgrades I could not upload photos for a while, then it got sorted, then it didn't upload again ... it's a documented Safari problem. I switched to using Mozilla (or Camino, but that is Mac only, I think) and now have no problems.

Are you using the new AVG 8.0. Someone in digi scrapping had this problem last week I will go and find the thread. Back in a mo:)

here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=223364) is the thread. Lindadragonfly suggests disabling a couple of functions on the new AVG system and it should work. I have just upgraded to AVG 8 but have yet to upload to the gallery:D

Thank you all for your help.

Joanne I went to the link that you sent me and did what it said there and now thankfully everything is back to normal. Oh what a relief, I thought it was something serious.
